  1. Trump is riffing, like he often does. Leavitt says as much. Calm down squissy and gutter, you won't be sent to an El Sal prison tomorrow. You can come out of your safe spaces.
  2. Hmm... sax projects more volume of course which is good for band, but that is a lot of weight and brass to carry around on a freezing Wisconsin field. I'd stick with clarinet.
  3. Awesome! Both the major and the band. What instrument does he play? Wisconsin has one of the best/best known bands in the nation, that would be a phenomenal experience. I think you are right about Sho, although in my mind he lived in Tennessee? last I knew. But he might have gone there. Donhaas for sure. I'll try to think of others.
  4. Maybe @donhaascan show him where all the top ghey clubs are. Also, congrats on sending a kid to college! Why did he choose it, and what does he plan to study?
  5. Open defiance? "Facilitate" means allow, perhaps help, but not insist. Does El Salvador want to send him back, and we won't take him?
  6. That's your evidence? I read your link, and followed the link to the NRC website, where I learned: So it falls under the POTUS, and POTUS has oversight. There has been much discussion about such "independent" agencies, but the concern is summarized nicely in the EO: Basically, the President issued an EO, which does not touch the fabric of our system. That EO said that he wanted to take a look-see at why my agencies are doing. Your author, from the "Union of Concerned Scientists," is upset because until now they have had a virtual blank check with no oversight to do whatever the hell they want, and now that is going away. You can argue that a POTUS should have confidence in the people he puts in place, and not feel the need for such oversight. But it is sky-screaming to equate this to abolishing the underlying structure of our entire system. Unless you can show me in, say, the congressional charter for such agencies, where it says that the President has no say in the dealings with agencies under his purview.
  7. What's the next tourney, and when?
  8. I'll skip the Scott Adams stuff since it has been discussed, except to add that he is also an engineer (we are all uber brilliant) and has built a successful comics empire, and you... haven't. That being said, we can disagree on what Trump is doing, and on the way he is doing it (although we are more aligned on this one, and I'm less optimistic on the goals). But his and Musk's motivations... we agree it's not money, good. Autocracy: he's trying to get around roadblocks, just like Biden before him. He's just more frontal about it. Sure, he would prefer if there weren't pesky laws and congress and courts in his way, but he isn't going to try to abolish the underlying structure of our system, cmon now. Similarly, you have stated things like he wants to destroy our economy, and folks like @Grace Under Pressureand @SaintsInDome2006, along with the regular cast of Leftie characters, want to attribute actual evil to Trump. I suppose such a belief is how you can turn your TDS into a religious zealotry and keep up the hatred, I dunno. But it isn't the case.

    Social Insecurity

I've been out of it for a while with my surgery. Can someone tell me what exactly Trump did to SS to cause Rusty to post a fake internet story about it? Are offices really closed? People not getting checks?

weepaws is more broken than usual

    Just ignore it.
  11. Of course it is, that's the movie you are watching, to paraphrase Scott Adams. Musk was once a hero to the Left, saving the planet through electric cars. But then he bought Twitter and took away your echo chamber, and he aligned himself with Trump because he saw the need for disruption, so he became a bad man with evil intentions. I would ask you to watch the Brett Baier interview to determine if all of these Doge folks are out to get you, but it won't matter -- you and the other pseuds here have your minds made up.
  12. Like you voted for wide open borders and transing the kids?
  13. Dang, I can't even lose right. 4th pick, ugh...
  14. What, that Musk is in it for the money? That's genius, Gutter. Oligarchy! Musk will steal my retirement money!
  15. Actually, when I hear someone yell autocracy! and oligarchy! (and unelected! and tech bros!), when talking about folks like Musk who are worth almost $400 billion, implying that they think they are doing all this for the money, I'm confident I'm dealing with a low-intelligence poster who gets their marching orders from TikTok, MSNBC, etc. There are plenty of intelligent interpretations of what Trump is doing, many of which rightfully raise valid concerns. Autocracy and oligarchy ain't them. HTH
  16. Really? To who? Also, that Reed hole out!
  17. If I ever get to go to the Masters, I'm going to spend some time at the right side of the dogleg on #5. You would get up close with half the golfers.
  18. To his credit, he birdied two holes since and is up 3 over Bryson (after 4 holes)
  19. Of course you are confident, that's why you use them. On the topic I just raised, I'm confident as well that you are wrong. Political lobbying organizations are not the "vast majority" of anything. Enough on this topic, back to your existential Trump threat.
  20. Tim loves intensive modifiers. "vast majority" is a favorite of his, such as "the vast majority of doctors support transing the kids." He typically has no supporting data for such assertions.
  21. I said that where in my post?

  23. So, on the topic of BS stupidity, I presume you called out the people who defended and supported a brain-dead president for the better part of his term? That's kinda dangerous, I'm sure a smart guy like you will agree. Funny, I don't recall your posts on that subject though. Or anything against the Left. Or any posts period until Trump took over. It's a conundrum wrapped in an enigma.
  24. Indeed. Bryson and Rory were fun to watch today.
