I'm here! All went well. This is what my wife has been sending out to folks: "He's done and in recovery. The nodule is "consistent with squamous cell" (what he's had before). She took some more lymph nodes but they looked normal. They will test them. He'll be in recovery for "a while". She said his lungs look great. Funny, we always hear how healthy he is other than the cancer."

I'm about to go into surgery. Since I don't pick again until the 5/6 turn, I think we'll be fine. I should be around by the afternoon at the latest. If you get antsy and want to finish, you can get Listen to pick for me.

Surgery is tomorrow, report time 5:30am, surgery 7:30 (west coast time). Good news is I'm the first surgery so I don't have to wait for some indeterminate delay. Bad news is I need to drive 45 minutes for that report time. My wife is wigging out more about this than I am. Probably because her uncle had this procedure -- albeit in his 70s and a heavy smoker all his life, whereas I'm in my 50s and never smoked, but... um, he died during it. I presume his lung wouldn't re-inflate? Anyway, I don't expect to die, but wish me luck anyway, especially about the nodule being benign. Also the not dying part.

Cantlay and Matsuyama were the other two I was considering. So one of them will win. I think Cantlay has surprisingly long odds, I may bet on him.

Going on pedigree here, overall as well as Masters. He hasn't lit the world on fire since his return, but he played pretty well his last time out. Hard to pass on him in the 2nd round. I had two other guys in mind, I'm interested to see where they go.

Thanks for the first part, and for asking about the second. Surgery is on Tuesday. I do have a pre-surgery blood work and appointment with the surgical team Monday, but I should be otherwise available, so I plan to draft Monday like normal. Which is to say, awesomely. Tuesday, I'll probably have surgery in the morning (my time, late morning/mid day) so I'll need some coverage. Afternoon I hope to be available. Let me give it some thought. One option is to ask @listen2me 23 to help cover for me. Part of me would love his picks to put me over the top, as a big FU to Ed. But it isn't as much fun if I don't have input on the picks. Wednesday morning I expect to be released, which again likely goes into the afternoon for you wrong-coasters. Listen, if you are available and willing to help me, let me know, and we can discuss how the model works. I'm having some thoughts on a hybrid model that I'll think some more on. tl;dr -- I'll start the draft on Monday like normal.
