We had a major haboob (heh heh... that's what they call the dust storms) on Monday. Worst one in decades. Tore a shade structure in our pool to shreds. Ripped a bush out by the roots. What kind of wind can do that? One of the Cardinals tweeted something like "WTF was that?" Somebody responded, "we forgot to tell you it rains dirt here!" It did actually rain a ton afterward which we sorely needed. Otherwise it's nice though.

I'll contribute to the homonosity of this thread:

Speaking of not meeting, our fam is heading to Grand Rapids next spring for my nephew's wedding.

I'll give you Mexico. But the great thing about Arizona is its diverse climate. I just spent 2 weeks in the White Mountains in the NE part of the state -- 3 hour drive from my house. 7200 ft elevation, pine forests, ski slope 30 minutes farther away. While there we drove an hour (north, actually) to the Petrified Forest and Painted Desert National Park, warmer, desert, completely different. Flagstaff is just over 2 hours from my house, similar elevation, and I live on the south side of town. Sedona and wine country are a little closer. Montana.

Montana over Arizona?! Outside of a small portion of Yellowstone, what is there? What was your criteria: "places I might visit once to shoot caribou?"

Sent to PP. Also fyi, you didn't list AD here. Based on his earlier post, maybe moneybags wants to send you $5K?

Must be a day that ends in Y, Tim is hating on his people again. My only win? Bless your heart. You banged your keyboard 24/7 for months posting Hamas Harry propaganda. Your body of work in this thread is possibly the most thorough, complete self-own L in the history of this board. Lastly, I admit that it's easy to be in the wrong place at the wrong time when your country is run by an evil terrorist group who uses you as human shields and sacrificial lambs, by embedding their people and facilities within the civilian population. You always seem to forget this minor contributing factor. Oh, and Hamas. Hamas. Hamas. -
I'm very much against owning part of Intel. One, the part that the government is nominally interested in, the foundry business, has been an abject failure at Intel for decades. I'll spare the technical details, some of which I'm sure they've addressed since the years I worked directly with them. Basically, I think it is a bad investment. Two, this creates conflicts of interest with respect to other American semiconductor companies, two of which my close family members work for. Three, I oppose bailouts in general, and this is more than a bailout. I'm woefully ignorant on the nVidia stuff, I need to read up on that.

Apparently we can't have nice threads with you around.

Occam's Razor tells you that it's all a big conspiracy so that evil Israel can kill all of the journalists? Is that the simplest explanation for you? Here's a thought: perhaps Israel doesn't want to let other journalists in because God forbid they die from being in the wrong place at the wrong time, and they know with 100% certainty that sheep like you would be apoplectic if that happened. And riddle me this. Your Occam answer is that Israel kills all the Pro Hams errr... Palestinian reporters. So they are all dead, right? Of course not, because you'll come up with another one next week. For the ones who were recently killed or are still alive: where are their videos of IDF shooting aid seekers? Where are the photos of the piles of dead bodies which must surely exist, given Hamas Harry's reports of starvation? Stated another way: these "reporters" have yet to provide the smoking gun (pardon the pun). So why does Israel view them as such a threat as to blow them up? Of course it should go without saying, but it probably needs to be said for you, that Israel says they are Hamas, and Hamas Reuters and Hamas AP say otherwise, and you have chosen your side, against your people. -

I guess you didn't read that Reddit thread about your +972 source. Yeah it's just Reddit, but here is an interesting comment from the thread: We already learned that AP Middle East is just a Hamas support organization, from the former AP reporter. Now we learn Reuters is highly questionable. It's easy to see such "reputable" names and think, surely they are unbiased? But you are looking through the American branch lens. These middle east teams appear to be... wanting. -

I dunno, it's in a vacation/cabin area for Phoenix and Tucson, so people with disposable income. Very pro MAGA vibe though. Anyway, we sat on a large patio, drank beer and ate pub food.
