It'd be easier to list what I'm not OCD about. I told my wife about this thread, and that when I die my headstone should say "there's a right way to do that." My family loves me despite, not because, of this.

Parents call out unfairness as trans pitcher throws shutout in Minnesota softball state quarterfinals
jerryskids replied to jbycho's topic in The Geek Club
You don't need to tag people if you quote them; quoting generates a notification. Does that give you two notifications? If so, that's twice as annoying as your usual random tagging. -
I think a pear is unfair for her stomach, which is about the same size as her chest. But a sphere is quite right either. Maybe a plum?

Israel's quest for justice exposes Hamas' systematic sexual violence campaign during October 7 massacre
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
Yep, he should. Also when I read "withholding medicine/vital supplies," I know you've been drinking the Hamas Harry koolaid. To repeat for @GobbleDog: Israel is perhaps the first country in the history of war to go out of its way to provide aid for the country they are at war with. They, along with the US, created the GHF because UNRWA is a Hamas shill organization that was providing aid directly to Hamas. Then Hamas Harry would take pictures of starving people and you'd all say "oh nooooes the kids!" blaming Israel because that is what you have been spoon fed. The GHF bypasses UNRWA and Hamas is apoplectic, because controlling the supplies is critical to them maintaining control over the Palestinian people they want to keep terrorizing. So they take videos of mostly young men running through the desert with gunfire in the background and give it to hack sites like SuppressedNews so they can tweet "Israel killed 38 people at the aid station today$#@!", and again, people lap it up. Perhaps one of you two can tell me your thoughts on Hamas in all this? Also, can you provide an example of another country going out of their way to provide aid to their enemy like Israel is? -
The word "atrophied" seems out of place in that screed.

No. Hourglass has a tight tummy. She's more like a lollipop.

I should have proactively said before you guys got your hopes (and other things) up... can size = not good. She's got one of those bodies where her legs look pretty good, but from the hips to the neck is sort of spherical.

I'm heading to the Michigan Yoop tomorrow for a vacation with my wife's family and ours, including my daughter from NYC who I haven't seen in 4 months. She called yesterday to say she was under the weather and tested positive for Covid. Wife and I don't care; heck, we wouldn't have even tested let alone told anyone. But my daughter, bless her heart, is a caring soul, so she told my SIL. SIL is a bit Covid-phobic, having cancelled Christmas at her house at least one year because somebody had it. My wife said "I can't talk to SIL without getting into an argument, so I'll text her that we're OK with it and Covid fears are so 2021, but it's up to you." Found out this morning that SIL was OK with it.

Brianna Wu: If I were in charge of the trans movement...
jerryskids replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
Not that I'm aware of. If I implied that, it was a mistake. I'll also add that in the case of Brianna, I've only known of her as Brianna, not when she was Brian or whatever her original name was. I first heard of her when she did a rebuttal to J.K. Rowling's interview series on The Free Press regarding trans people (also published there). I didn't agree with many of her points, but she presented them intelligently. -
Brianna Wu: If I were in charge of the trans movement...
jerryskids replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
FWIW, my reasoning was for how I refer to people in discussions like this, not to their face. To their face, I'm pretty much what you describe. I'll respect the gender they choose if I know about it, or go by presentation otherwise. I've told the story before, but my daughter was in HS Theater, and a lot of those kids are from the island of misfit toys. One was a boy named Jordan who decided he was a girl named Dani (interesting that he picked a male-sounding name). Dani didn't terribly present as a girl, so you would call him a him if you saw him. But out of respect for him and my daughter, I referred to him as she/her. I call him a him now because he later decided he was a boy after all. See, Jordan came from a shiot home life, and the trans thing was a cry for attention. Many of the leftists here tell me this is unpossible, that experiences and situations can't make someone trans. My life experience begs to differ. It's a big part of why I am so adamant against confused kids getting medical/hormonal treatments. -
L.A. ICE thread: US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant were shot in an L.A. immigration raid
jerryskids replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Pron capital of the world! My youngest was in college so it was fine. HS was probably OK as well. It was devastating for the development of young children, though, if you didn't have the means and opportunity to get them daily interaction with other kids. -
Brianna Wu: If I were in charge of the trans movement...
jerryskids replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
I'll take that as a no. Just figuring out where your convictions end. Also, I've been the biggest opponent of men in women's sports on this bored. You contribute nothing but hate, the least you could do is try to do it accurately. -

Would you call a 220 pound MMA trans woman a man to his face? -
I'm not lying. I don't smoke weed, not that there is anything wrong with it, as it is legal. Just not my thing. I do occasionally drink though, like Jesus. You, however, are bearing false witness against me. I'm happy having this discussion with you, me, and God, to see who is correct. He'll probably take it easy on you though, since you are more than a little touched.

I dunno, I never thought about it and I would never do it. -
I don't smoke weed, Mongol. Shouldn't you be screaming Revelation quotes on a street corner in Reno?

Brianna Wu: If I were in charge of the trans movement...
jerryskids replied to jerryskids's topic in The Geek Club
A few reasons, none of which you'll agree with. 1. I believe a small subset of trans people have gender dysphoria. Brianna pre-dates the social contagion, when trans people who medically transitioned were thoroughly vetted to have the disease. 2. She also medically and surgically transitioned, so she presents as a she. We can argue whether or not people should do this, or if we should instead work on addressing the mental illness (I've made this latter argument multiple times). But, she did it. 3. As my quote indicated, she's just trying to live out life, not inject herself into women's sports etc. Given all of the above, I'm comfortable calling Brianna she/her. I don't believe she is some sexual predator guy looking to rape girls in the bathroom; she doesn't even have a cack anymore. Someone like Leah Thomas meets none of the criteria I listed, so I'm fine referring to Leah as he/him. HTH -
L.A. ICE thread: US Marshal and an undocumented immigrant were shot in an L.A. immigration raid
jerryskids replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
I would like the raids to target bad hombres like MS-13. In such raids, you don't have time to adjudicate the people your encounter since things are happening so quickly, so some non-violent people might get detained. The message to such people is to not hang out where bad hombres are. And on the larger scale, the message to people in our southern neighboring countries is that you are not welcome to come here illegally. -
Former Pink Floyd member Roger Waters faces possible prosecution after supporting banned Palestine Action
jerryskids replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
In the UK you can be arrested for silently praying within a certain distance of an abortion center. I completely disagree with the UK's arresting people for thoughts or social media posts. If people want to get their intellectual guidance from a guy who made his name writing drug-addled songs, I don't object. -

MAGA congressional candidate says Texas floods are “fake”
jerryskids replied to MDC's topic in The Geek Club
I came here to post this. -
Thanks again. I had heard of the apocryphal gospels, which in the context I read them include some you mentioned (Thomas, also Mary Magdalene). But I hadn't known anything about the gnostic movement. Seems kinda like Jesus meets Buddhism. I've always wondered if Jesus studied Buddhism. I like the meditation of Buddhism, as it most closely resembles the Catholic practice of meditative and mantra prayer, which have been shown to have beneficial effects. Anyway, I appreciate your insights.

Any? Like, zero? His father had no influence on his development? Crap, I lost a few more brain cells reading this.
-
What are you blathering about? Do you not think that a father influences the development of his son? Regarding Palestine, I pointed out that the parents of the current generation voted in Hamas. Seriously, are you drunk? Bang your head into a wall a few times? I feel like I get dumber with every post of yours today.

Israel attacks Iran UPDATE: Trump claims a cease fire among all countries

Thanks for the response? Agree or disagree? SuppressedNews tweet about another 50 women and children gunned down by IDF today? I don't spend my time here just to answer your idiotic questions.
