I have Cancer :/ -- now not so great, new nodule 3/18/25

I appreciate it, but it's difficult for me to talk in general, moreso on the phone. I talk to my daughter in NY on the phone and... that's about it. ETA: and my brother in Florida. -
Current parlay: Kansas ML Texas A&M -6.5 Drake at Mizzou over 133.5 +438
-
Ala State +32.5 McNeese State v Clemson over 133.5 BYU -2.5 Georgia v Gonzaga over 150.5 +1258, I'm just funnin' with 1/2 Unit on these woot!!!

Sheet... guess I should have started drinking earlier! I meant Gonzaga... BYU won so all I need is the over, which is looking good. MGM is offering me about 95% of my payout to cash out; I'm tempted to just do it and be done. But I only need 13 points in the last 7 minutes...

Sue me, they played McNeese State. I fixed it. Montana State played earlier.

Always enjoy these, Fumble.

Federal Judge blocks Trump military ban on transgenders

I've wondered about this as well. I think the military's position is that everyone should be prepared to go to the front lines. That's why those linguistics people have fitness requirements. You never know when we'll encounter a Red Dawn or Independence Day scenario. A linguistics person, I could very much see being deployed in the field to help with translations, codes, whatever they do. A drone pilot may sit safely on a Navy cruiser, but what happens if that cruiser is attacked? I was thinking maybe a member of a military band or choir, but such groups may be in, say, the Middle East entertaining the troops when the SHTF unexpectedly, and they find themselves under siege. -

I couldn't join if I wanted to, as my throat requires too much daily care to be fit for combat, much like a person who has physically transitioned. I doubt an activist judge will make the government admit me though, because that wouldn't gain SJW points at her next party. -
I can't speak for Maryland, but GCU is good. They've had a lot of help over the years from Jerry Colangelo, the godfather of basketball (and baseball) here in Phoenix. I'm not sure if it is a religious thing (Colangelo is a devout Christian and GCU is a Christian university here in Phoenix), but he has put a lot of effort into getting quality coaching and recruits here. That being said, I admit it is a bit of a homer pick, but they've got good pedigree.

Thanks, that looks good and pretty simple. I love ancho chili/lime wings as well.

This is possibly the thing that upsets me the most about Trump. Canada was ripe for electing a strong conservative PM (Pierre Poilievre), but then Trump started pissing Canada off with this 51st state idiocy, and Poilievre is associated with Trump (right wing and all), so now it looks like Canada will elect Trudeau v2 (Mark Carney). Somebody needs to pimp slap Trump on this thing, and fast.

Who do you think are stronger on average?

If grabbing a pickle is at stake, I'd pick @TheNewGirl over Hulk Hogan. -

I would say that sleeping on Sux's couch was one of my most memorable Geek meats, but we drank so much crap beer, it's a bit fuzzy. I do remember that his garage and tools were so neat, clean, and organized that Dexter Morgan would have orgasmed at the sight. That being said, he was a very gracious host. -
Dang, that looks good. I'd love to get the recipe for the sweet potatoes; do they publish them?

Looks like some Type 2s can serve if they can show consistent A1C control without meds. Type 1s obviously can't do that: Although not clear from the above, my guess is that those exceptions are for people diagnosed while on active duty. -

For my first point, from the text of the EO: My second point is absolutely correct. I provided the AI summary, pick your source if you don't like it: https://www.google.com/search?q=do+transition+surgeries+always+cure+gender+dysphoria%3F&oq=do+transition+surgeries+always+cure+gender+dysphoria%3F&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTIHCAEQIRigATIHCAIQIRigATIHCAMQIRigATIHCAQQIRigATIHCAUQIRirAjIHCAYQIRifBTIHCAcQIRifBTIHCAgQIRifBTIHCAkQIRiPAtIBCTExODA1ajBqN6gCALACAA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8 My third point has no need to be specifically addressed by the courts. It is scientific fact that those who physically transitioned require regular medications, which prohibits them from being deployed, much like an insulin-dependent diabetic. And my second point further risks admitting someone with a mental health issue. The military has been granted latitude in this area, as also described in the EO: Fourth point: Technically you are correct. In 2019 SCOTUS overturned an earlier stoppage from a lower court on Trump's ban, ruling instead that the ban could stay in place while the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled on it. Here was that subsequent ruling: https://cdn.ca9.uscourts.gov/datastore/opinions/2019/06/14/18-35347.pdf -

I'm impressed that you could respond in a way which so missed my points. 1. As per your article, the restriction is for people with gender dysphoria. 2. Trans surgeries and hormones may or may not address the issue of gender dysphoria. 3. People who have physically transitioned require daily meds which is a significant part of why they cannot join the military, much like a type 1 diabetic requires constant insulin. 4. SCOTUS has already ruled on this. -

Your first sentence shows your are a . Khalil did a helluva a lot more than that which is more of a threat to the US; it's been discussed so I'm not going to rehash it. To your fake scenario, he probably does neither. The guy isn't on his radar either way. HTH -

I don't condone violence, but that health care company screwed over a lot of people... I don't condone violence, but they did draw a cartoon of Muhammad... I don't condone violence, but Elon has done a lot of bad stuff that I disagree with since he joined the other side... Putting aside the idiocy of calling them all "terrorists," the vast majority of those 1500 were not violent. Instead they were like... ... the Brazilian asylum seeker who walked in peacefully, saw no violence, and prayed with others. Agreed MDC, you are a : -
Protesters gather outside ICE in Aurora after immigration activist Jeanette Vizguerra reportedly taken into custody 🌮

Sorry Tim, but we are not going to have a new, expensive felony trial for every illegal alien we deport, particularly if they already have a criminal record and a history of avoiding authorities. It is both impractical and unnecessary under the law.
