Your Favorite Slow Dance Song In Middle/High School
jerryskids replied to BunnysBastatrds's topic in The Geek Club
Funny, I came into this thread thinking Journey, specifically Faithfully. It was our senior class song or prom song or somethin (graduated HS 1985). -
While the bolded sounds good in the liberal world, it is what led us to a world with China as a major threat. Do you feel safer from China than you were 30 years ago? Prosperous maybe, with all the cheap stuff from slave labor factories. It's also the same mindset that wants to give Iran just enough nuclear capability to build a reactor, but not a weapon. I'm sure they'll keep their word. What could go wrong?

Trump's health agency urges therapy for transgender youth, not broader gender-affirming health care
jerryskids replied to kilroy69's topic in The Geek Club
@TheNewGirlhas already slapped you around with actual studies, but I'll point out that this link is garbage. Aside from the fact that the Williams Institute is clearly biased, your link has 7 links in it, as if to imply there are a lot of studies supporting their position. But... every link but one points to the same "study," a self-reporting survey from 10 years ago. 10 years ago we did not have the social contagion we do now. The seventh references an opinion article, not a study, and that article references... the Williams Institute. -
Worse than usual. Bumping random threads with random bible quotes. I hope he gets back on his meds soon.

Harvard & Trump Thread: Harvard PREVAILS in its lawsuit against the Trump administration
jerryskids replied to squistion's topic in The Geek Club
Fun read from Reason on the multiple levels of idiocy at Harvard: https://reason.com/volokh/2025/05/02/i-dont-mean-to-brag-but-i-didnt-go-to-harvard/ Link contains the pyramid in #2 as well as lots of links. As an aside, I clicked into the report in #1. The Executive Summary begins on page 14 and is 9 pages long, all text and no graphics. Clearly, the academics at Harvard have never met either an executive or a summary. -

Pam Bondi claims Trump-instigated fentanyl seizures have saved 258 million American lives

I misread it based on the ordering of things in the article. But hey, thanks for pointing out my bias, center-right guy who posts 99% left-wing posts. -

Thanks for repeating what I said, without the "Execution Barbie" part, I guess. -
Pam Bondi claims Trump-instigated fentanyl seizures have saved 258 million American lives
jerryskids replied to Tebok's topic in The Geek Club
I watched the video, where she didn't say that. I didn't continue on to Daily Beast part with the additional alleged text, followed by a link from them to something on Bondi they called "Execution Barbie," then her allegedly pulling back the number. Anyway, I'll presume she indeed said it as a theoretical maximum (I think @Strike said similar), then pulled it back as per the next paragraph that Daily Beast begrudgingly included. But hey, the important part is that seizing fentanyl is bad, because Trump. Center-right folks unite! -

She probably misspoke, meant 258 thousand. Very center-right of you, Rusty. -
Code monkey worked on a project with the cave, and as such presumes everyone knows not only that it exists but the extent to which it hampers the efficiency of retirement of federal employees. It's not a secret$#@!

Oklahoma adding 2020 MUH FRAUD to high school curriculum
jerryskids replied to TimHauck's topic in The Geek Club
Thanks. Without reading anything else, I would still be interested in those results. -
This is how I imagine @weepaws. No words, just grunts. And impaling his hands like Jesus, but with dry erase markers.

I have no idea why you tagged me here but feel free to actually link something I said if you want a chance at a response from me. -
I don't regret my choice, but I am increasingly concerned. There is a weariness factor, sure. But I'm more concerned about Trump's riffs around things like, say, a trade war with China. It's one thing for Trump the real estate person to say "I want to build a golf resort in Qatar," and he has people to implement the idea. But China, well, he doesn't control. And China would kill every one of us if it meant world domination. I'm stealing from Ben Shapiro here, but if you plan to go to war, you need to have things in place, like supply lines for your troops. For a trade war, that translates to a supply chain with strong trade relationships with the other countries, to weather the storm. Instead, Trump alienated all of the countries, to the extent that they are now talking to China moreso than in the past. This doesn't help. And if we actually start to cause pain to China, enough to cause them concern? Their next step involves Taiwan and TSMC. China has built a huge navy, are we prepared and willing to engage that? I know the alternative was Kamala, vacuous, playing computer solitaire in the Oval Office instead of the VP office, while whatever cartel was in place during Biden continued to run the country. I don't like that alternative, never have. But I wish Trump had someone in his inner circle who could pimp slap him on some of these things.

Tard answer #3. Read the thread you maroon!
-
Tard answer #2. Nonresponsive. What is he doing with your data, Gutter? I mean, if caught, the richest man in the world would face prosecution. There must be a tangible value to risk it. Ima go with sell you a Tesla, since you've got nothing
-
Tard answer #1: Gutter wants us to believe that everyone knew the existence and operating details of the mine. I'm sure Leftie pseudo in NJ learned about it in middle school.

The Left: DOGE is moving too fast! They're breaking important stuff! Also the Left: DOGE isn't moving fast enough! They haven't fixed everything in 90 days!
-
I don't know, but I do know that we are less than 100 days into it. And by your implication, if they haven't completely turned the ocean liner that is the government in this time, it is a failure! A bunch of systems experts here. They should have completely automated this system by now! How is that Biden cancer cure coming?
-
Oh, I'm shocked you believe that a guy worth well into nine figures stole your data. That's what the MSDNC told you, anyway. Chew another blue pill. What's he going to do with it? Sell you a Tesla? A Starlink subscription? Maybe he'll sell it on the Oligarchy black market?
