Blow me!

I saw on X: it's all about protecting the players, unless it knocks Texas out of the playoffs.
-
Also, karma for that pathetic lack of targetting call.

I think I just had a coronary!

How in the holy fock was that not targetting?

Ten Dead And Thirty Injured Last Night In New Orleans

The majority accepts it, and does nothing to change it. Read that Sam Harris pod transcript I posted. If you need the link again, let me know. Islam is broken and the "normies" in Islam have no interest in fixing it. -

Ten Dead And Thirty Injured Last Night In New Orleans

I'd put him in over Nixon for sure. Hey, since that 14-0 barrage in the 4th, ASU has outplayed Texas. Credit to Texas's red zone defense, but ASU is hanging around in the 4th. -

Who is "they"? Either she made a stupid call way too early, or the FBI higher ups did and she was just the messenger. Either way, it's a bad look for the organization. -
Boycott Costco! Standing firm on supporting DEI
jerryskids replied to TimHauck's topic in The Geek Club
Can @TimHauckor some other center-right conservative tell me the rules for when I'm supposed to boycott? If I'm supposed to boycott every company that has some internal DEI policies, that seems like a lot of boycotts. -

20 of the 25 most dangerous U.S. cities are in red states

Only a true conservative like Rusty would blame the president-elect for the dangers of blue cities run by democrat mayor's and city councils. -

I grew up in Penn State country, about 1.5 hours from campus. So I have an affinity for them. But... I think they are overrated this year. But... I think Boise State is more overrated. So I've got PSU -9.5 in my WTF 4-game parlay for the CFP playoffs. Other bets in the parlay: ASU +14.5 Oregon ML Georgia ML +1296 with a 25% bonus odds I already won +600 on Michigan ML earlier today. so playing with house money this week. -
I was between Scott and Henley, hopefully I chose... wisely. I view Scott as an always in the mix guy, whereas Henley can win or crash.

We visited the Italian Riviera as part of the Backroads hiking trip we took to Italy last year for our 30th. Stayed at Hotel Continental in Santa Margherita Ligure. The hotel has it's own beach/lagoon area which was really nice. Walked up the coast to Portofino (that was the hiking part, but it was mostly flat and paved along the water). Portofino is where the rich and richer play. Overall a nice, relaxing leg of the trip. If you go, I can figure out the restaurant we ate at in SML, it had a great outdoor eating area and was very good. I wish we had a little more time to explore there. We went in early October; the weather was perfect for our trip, but it's at the tail end of the season. We heard that the hiking tour the week before us got a ton of rain. If you are looking to spend quality beach time, you might want to go a little earlier in the season.

Thanks. Ive looked a little into those Danube cruises, definitely on the list. We've got a niece that lives in Duesseldorf who we would visit as part of it.

In the consolation final? Reach for the stars, Rusty!

Oh yeah, the flu. I meant to get the shot this year, but I learned from @MTSkiBumthat it only lasts for a few months, so the trick is to time it right. They start advertising it in September, which is fairly useless. Mostly I wanted to get it so that I wouldn't contaminate my diabetic daughter, the one who lives in NYC and is visiting us now for the holidays. Well... something knocked her out in the middle of the night. She thinks it was food poisoning; she had oysters while out with friends last night (although one friend also ate them and feels fine). Thing is, she has always reacted to fever by throwing up, so it's hard to diagnose. Wasn't me, I feel fine. She has basically slept all day. I hope she feels better when she wakes up.

Vouch. I've had my head darn near cut off in a laryngectomy, and chemotherapy, and by far the worst I've felt in all of this experience was vertigo. I actually did PT where they toss your head in different directions to move the crystals in your inner ear, and dadgum if it didn't work! But before that, I wanted to die. What made it particularly sucktastic was that it was after my lary but before chemo, and I had been training hard for Pat's Run, a 4.2 mile charity run for the Pat Tillman foundation. It was spring of 2021 so Covid, so they did the run remotely (basically, pick your own route). We had good options by our house for 1, 2.1, and 4.2 mile routes, so we sponsored a party/run for our gym at our house. I was looking forward to showing my gym buddies that I wasn't going to let this cancer thing stop me. Instead I sat there like a focking invalid watching everyone spin around in circles and trying not to puke.
