People like to use Norway as an example, let's compare: - Population 5.5M, about 1/70th of ours - Virtually all of the population lives along the ocean. Basically, a series of medical facilities placed along the highway that runs that route covers almost everyone. We are 2 dimensional, requiring a significantly more complex system. - Norway's population is very homogeneous, whereas we have all ethnicities and their associated genetic issues. - Obesity rate in Norway is 25%; here it is 45% - Norway pays more in taxes Bottom line is: it's a helluva lot more difficult than "Norway does it, why can't we?"
