  1. I don't spend really any time here anymore.  I started back in 1999.  Rustor McFuckstor gave me a hard time and I blew back on him.

I'm curious how folks are doing.

Me:  I just took a new job, and I work in sales now.  I'm an Sales Engineer for a datacenter/cloud computing company called Databank.

The pay increase was crazy.  The commissions are a super nice bonus.  I no longer have to 'fix' issues.  I just build solutions and send them off to engineers.

I know Jerry's Kids has/had cancer.  How are you doing brother?

I know Mmm...Beer is a LEO at a National level.  Are you still in Washington state?

  2. I had COVID, didn't die, and didn't think it was worth shutting down the fuckin planet.

But to some people, it is.  I get that.

That being said, the federal government is incompetent (shocking) and Fauci is a fuckin fraud.

He also mentioned escaping the violence in his country.

Would you get your family to a border where you would be separated from your kids?

I wish there were a way to get these countries to stop being such crapass places to live.

There is.  It's written in our 2nd Amendment.

The thing that drives me most insane about gun right advocates, is the lack of objectivity... (aside from quick name calling and "f you" retorts - see thread).

If hypothetically, gun deaths and gun violence rates in the U.S. were similar with every other first world country, or even half of what they currently are, I'd say "ok, in that circumstance I'd probably agree, let's keep the guns. It's worth it."

But ask a gun advocate "hypothetically, what if mass murders, gun deaths and gun violence rates were twice as high as they currently are? THEN would you agree to get rid of guns?  "nope."  What about 10 x's as high? "nope." Is there ANY hypothetical situation in which you would agree we should eliminate guns?  "nope."

I get it - they love the idea/tradition of owning guns, it's a political thing, and they have a personal attachment to being a proud American gun owner. But there's no reason or objectivity in their debate.  Just a lot of "guns don't kill people" and insults.  Whatever... in the long run they win. Nothing's gonna change in our lifetimes.  Enjoy the carnage America. We've already had a lot and there's a hell of a lot more coming.

In your entire diatribe, there's only one thing you got right.  That we're not going to give them up.

    The rest is emotional bullshit.
