Side topic but probably worth noting that while there are some homeless and drug users that use the light rail, it is used a lot for commuting and nightlife/sporting events. Its creation actually resulted in a ton of high-end development, and the stop where this occurred is actually a nice area. I imagine a lot less people will use the light rail now though…

I haven’t seen credible evidence that they turned it down. Most of it seems to stem from one name that I’m not sure if he has any say. Ryan “Hamas” Grim claimed they met in Qatar to consider the proposal, but I don’t see credible evidence of that either. (Just me being my centrist self)
