Here is the first sentence of what I get: Yes, hyperboles are false by design—but not in a deceptive way.
-
Thanks for proving me right!
-
@TimHauck: are hyperboles true? @TBayXXXVII: yes ChatGPT: no @The Elevator Killer: ChatGPT agrees with Tbay lol

What “problem” are you talking about? That the job market during Biden’s term was very good? -
IIRC, the only poster here I’ve called a doosh is @Strike. I’m not sure if there are any other posters here of any political leaning that reach his doosh level. I have called libs out on here for making racist posts and doing things like wishing the economy would tank because of TDS.
-
I asked ChatGPT if hyperboles were true and I quoted the response above. That does does not agree with Tbay.
-
Nope, I never said it was a lie, liar. I said it was not true.
-
Also, there you go again only complaining about things if it’s not conservatives doing them. Have you accused any GC righties of being dooshes on here? Because we know they are.
-
I agree Chat GPT is not perfect, especially when it comes to current events. I’d think it’d have a pretty good idea about grammar though. Do you have an opinion on the question posed in the OP?
-
Who knew the question “are hyperboles true” would cause a political divide, lol
-
I didn’t think GC righties would be afraid to answer this simple question. Buncha snowflakes
-
AKA not true. HTH

He should definitely be charged with something but a felony is kinda ridiculous. I do give credit to the officers for being very restrained until after getting sandwiched -
We already had the argument previously, @TBayXXXVII refused to admit he was wrong. I thought the poll might help show him. But anyway, here’s what ChatGPT says to the question “are hyperboles true?”
-
Well @TBayXXXVII, who has shared answers from ChatGPT for other things recently, apparently either refused to ask or refuses to believe ChatGPT’s answer to the question “are hyperboles true”

Interesting data here: https://www.politifact.com/article/2025/aug/04/jd-vance-redistricting-california-texas-democratic/ Among the 35 states with at least 4 house seats, California ranks 13th in the % difference of house seats vs 2024 Presidential vote share. Of the 12 states with bigger discrepancies, 7 favor Republicans and 5 favor Democrats.

@WhiteWonder can you put this guy in his place please. He won’t listen to me

Thanks for sharing. This lawsuit was filed in 2020 and most of the incidents discussed were from 2019. So if they’ve been faking data since then, then comparisons saying crime is down would actually still be relevant, unless they either stopped faking it then started again, or are accused of faking it in different ways than they already were. -
…it does seem to be becoming more socially acceptable to be one. This post got 17,000 likes. And if you don’t think this is a Nazi salute, check out the rest of her posts.

Do you think gerrymandering is bad if either side does it?

Obviously if prices continue to go up which they have then they’d be higher the more recent the data is you’re looking at. But the steepest increases occurred in 2020/2021, not 2021/2022 which is what you said earlier. Not a big deal but I mostly just wanted to point out that the crazy price spikes started pre-Biden, and it’s been over 5 years since that started. I also would blame the interest rates primarily on Biden, but definitely not “entirely.” The reason interest rates went up was because of inflation, and although Biden made it worse, it started because of Covid and people staying home and saving money, on top of the handouts. And in terms of home prices specifically covid restrictions gave people more motivation to own rather than rent. -
51 views and 2 votes, lol. I guess the righties are afraid to tell @TBayXXXVII, @Horseman and @Meglamaniac that they are stupid.

They’ve been “slowing” compared to the prior craziness, but still had been pretty steadily going up except for the second half of 2022 (right around when mortgage rates first started spiking). https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/csushpinsa https://fred.stlouisfed.org/series/MORTGAGE30US/ Although speaking of the craziness, it really started in 2020. So considering it’s been 5 years (including pre-Biden) since price spikes and 3 years since sky high mortgage rates, it’s silly IMO if anyone blames Biden if prices come down now. The thing about the inflation under Biden is that part of the reason it got so high is because the job market was strong (even for the lower classes, @RLLD), so most people could afford to take the hit on inflation. I think what people are most afraid of with “OMG TARIFFS” is if they cause significant job losses. I don’t know if they will, but I bet a lot of people are concerned about that. -
The ICE Raids are killing local economies; they need to stop
TimHauck replied to The Real timschochet's topic in The Geek Club
I’m pretty sure that’s referring to at that present time, meaning after the incident in question. The article says the same person who said that also confirms that the man fled “during the ICE activity at the store on Mountain Avenue.”
