Can you remind me of your opinion on the Ukraine war again?

I was just trying to figure out where folks like @Baker Boy and @EternalShinyAndChrome stood. They both brought up whataboutisms, so in order to be consistent they would need to either think both this and the whataboutisms they brought up were racist, or neither were racist. @RLLD (who thought they were both racist) and @WhiteWonder (who thought they were both not racist) did similarly, but at least they provided actual opinions.

I also said anti-Semitic earlier in the thread. But the discrimination by this group is against more than just Jews of course, so I was using “racist” to describe their overall opinion of “white European” superiority. See @WhiteWonder, I knew this guy would say Jews are a race.

Were you born racist or did something happen along the way?

Weird, I seem to remember learning that there was a lot of discrimination against several of these groups like the Irish and Italians when they first arrived before they were truly accepted.

I didn’t say it was the “fundamental problem,” I said that’s an option, which IMO would be better than just shooting first and asking questions later. Maybe that’s where the US could help by sending in a specialized team. I don’t know why you guys think people that disagree with what Israel is doing need to have the solution anyway. Is what they’re doing working? If not, then yeah, I don’t see what’s wrong with saying “I don’t know what they should be doing, but it’s not this.”

I also said they should torture them to find the hostages, so maybe they should capture them instead of killing them (+ civilians)

I don’t think countries need to go out of their way to inject different cultures into their country, but they shouldn’t be explicitly preventing people from moving there just because they’re a different race. There are plenty of countries that are primarily one race without denying entry to those of a different race, and that’s fine. But America is a “nation of immigrants,” there really isn’t a “dominant culture” IMO. Yes, as much as you joke about it, I do truly believe that diversity is our strength. I think it’s cool to watch the Olympics for example and see all of our different races (including whites, obviously I don’t hate white people) represented, in contrast to a lot of the other countries there.

It gives terrorists less motivation to attack the US at least. And again, I think it also gives Netanyahu motivation to end the war on his own (to your most recent post, I never said to end the war today, I was saying Israel should end it on their own timeline but without our help). Speaking of which, there has been some speculation that part of the reason Netanyahu is dragging the war out is to avoid his own prosecution, so another option that might help (even if it doesn’t solve everything) is ousting him. As far as what they can do to end the war, no I don’t know exactly. I imagine they could probably torture some Hamas dudes to find out where the hostages are, and/or find out where the Hamas leaders are and kill them. Of course one option that could help is to give the Palestinians a state, and help them set up a new government that’s not Hamas. Israel is probably never going to be safe from potential terror attacks, so I don’t think that’s really a reasonable outcome to expect, since it’s been that way since they’ve existed.

Well for one Netanyahu is currently being emboldened by the fact that we’re supporting him. Take away his piggy bank and he might actually try to end the war quicker. Maybe a lot of Gazans still die, but we need the war to end. I also think it helps “solve” the backlash from Americans, which somehow @jerryskids thinks is making it more difficult to defeat Hamas. Part of the issue many have is that we’re helping fund this. If we’re no longer funding it, then that takes away that argument at least.

I’m not denying that the thread was intended to be about race. But I made the thread about race because the leader of the group made the group about race. The two posters I tagged in the OP are to my knowledge the only 2 posters here that actually admit to being racist, that’s why I tagged them (and I know at least one of them, maybe both have said Jewish was a race which is why I tagged them again in the more recent post). I believe the liberal posters have agreed it’s racist (as well as some conservatives like @RLLD), so not sure what I would be surprised by there. I did point out though that some of the liberals explicitly said this group should be allowed to do this, since some conservatives like to sarcastically call Dems the “party of tolerance” or whatever

Well the leader of this group doesn’t post on FFToday (maybe he should though, lots of potential members!), so yes, you got me, I am the one that started the thread. But again, the leader said the purpose of the group is to protect white American culture, he made it about race.

The “leader” associates being Jewish with a race (and I know some folks like @Cdub100 and @iam90sbaby do too). And he literally described the culture they want to “protect” as “white European.” He made it about race, not me.

I think “working with” and “involved with” Hamas are fair descriptions. I’d disagree with calling it a “Hamas shill” though. But even if they were working with Hamas, that doesn’t mean food wasn’t still getting to Palestinian civilians. Still, because of the Hamas involvement, in theory the effort to replace them as primary aid providers make sense. But Netanyahu literally admitted Israel is only giving “minimal” aid, and the reports of starvation deaths are only increasing, so it definitely seems the food situation was better before the GHF got involved. And spare me “it’s just propaganda to make Israel look bad!” They still could have tried to blame any starvation on Israel even before the GHF got involved

I understand your argument, and thank you for being rational unlike some of the people that have previously posted in this thread. But for one, the topic is racism, so I don’t think a fishing club is relevant. Or even an Italian American club for that matter, since Italian isn’t a race and there are of course black Italians. You also seem to be focusing a lot on clubs. This isn’t just a club that someone spends an hour a week at. This is where these people live. I think it can be argued that the people potentially being hurt are the children being raised there. I believe their rules say you must be homeschooled, so we know the children are going to be indoctrinated to believe whatever the adults do. What I’m curious to see, assuming this place sticks around, is what happens if one of their kids turns out to be gay.

Again (and I’m saying “again” now since I mentioned it at the beginning of our conversation), I don’t know if it’s illegal, so I’m not saying to “ban” it. Just that it’s racist. Yes, I’m sure there are some clubs that are racist too if they explicitly deny entry based on race (I believe many actually would allow entry of those other than the specified group). But I’m not saying to ban those either.

I think I realized something about her. She does have a bit of a droopy face, but her face looks much better when she smiles. Of course her face is not her biggest asset though

Seems like semantics IMO to say “yeah they’re probably racist but I don’t think their actions are racist.” He essentially said in the TMZ video he wouldn’t let the interviewer in because he’s Jewish (although I’m sure @TBayXXXVII and @EternalShinyAndChrome would claim he wasn’t saying that). To that point, I don’t think your examples of people looking at you weird is comparable. Maybe if they denied you entry to the club it would be comparable.

I think he pretty much admitted it in the first video: Leader: ”We have control over who our neighbors are, to protect our culture.” Interviewer: “Are you effectively saying it’s a whites-only culture?” Leader: ”A white American culture.” You got me, I do like trolling the righties here. I knew some would, but I gotta admit I was surprised by the number of folks claiming this wasn’t racist though. But let’s not kid ourselves, lots of people here love race baiting. The initial thread title from @HellToupee about the Michigan stabber as an example. Or @Cdub100 whenever a black person gets in a fight with a white person.
