I never said that. Just stating facts. Construction companies (which I would bet more often than not are owned by people that lean conservative) often hire illegals to keep costs down. If there are no illegals to hire then costs will likely go up. I will say we’ve come a long way as a society though if you’re okay with calling $15/hour “slave labor.” For one I bet many of the ones working construction actually are making more. Remember when Jesse Watters thought $20/hour was $100k a year though? Talk about out of touch.

I think 1 of 2 things happen in regards to home prices. 1) Prices come down, but it will be because of a recession and significant job losses. Conservatives of course will declare prices came down because of mass deportations. Hopefully this doesn’t happen 2) Prices don’t come down (or go up), and conservatives will praise Trump for maintaining their home values, which for many is the primary source of their wealth. I don’t actually really disagree with this, but many people claimed this was a bad thing during Biden.

I’m aware of how subcontracting works (and specifically talked about it in one of the other threads). It’s silly to generalize and say who “always” does better work though (which is why I said “some” earlier). But I’m sure you’re well aware that even many “in house employees” are often (legal) immigrants as well.

Are you saying there are a lot of illegals living in the higher income neighborhoods?
