Goldberg claims his sources heard it firsthand, not second (and not third or fourth like the cat eating Haitian stories that you believe). The lawyer said Goldberg lied in the story, she didn’t say it was all a lie. If so, as I’ve said, I look forward to seeing her lawsuit against him and the Atlantic. It would be great press and a great money-making venture for her, both in the damages if she wins and donations from the sheep righties. But she has not stated she plans to do that (Fox News even brought it up and she said nothing). And once again, I don’t give much weight to the alleged “f’ing Mexican” comment. But I’d kinda like to know the specifics about how much Trump/the WH was asked to pay and how much they actually paid. Speaking of the media sucking, weird that no one asked about that specifically in the interviews of the family/lawyer.

I’ve posted most of this elsewhere but: -Better economy under Trump -Lower taxes/increased standard deduction -Operation Warp Speed -Better track record on foreign policy vs Biden/Harris Now there are certainly things I’m not crazy about, namely being concerned that Elon Musk is going to tank the economy by firing half of the federal employees like @Cdub100, and putting RFK Jr in a position where his antivax ideas gain mainstream acceptance. And I’m not really a fan of Trump as a person, but as President he’s still better than the alternative IMO. I also get more annoyed by his supporters than himself, so it’s fun to prove them wrong which is often pretty easy to do. I’ve also never claimed I’m “right leaning” like I think @jerryskids has claimed. I typically don’t even really follow politics, and I’ve consistently stated I’ve voted for both Dems and Republicans. I live in NC and will probably only vote in 3 races, Trump, and 2 Dems - Stein for governor (moreso a vote against Mark Robinson), and Jeff Jackson for attorney general who I do genuinely like.

Well as @Mike Honcho pointed out, he got a lot of the UFC information wrong, not that I’d expect him to know it. He has golfed with Bo Nickal, I doubt he’d know who he was otherwise. But it was certainly smart of him to ask Rogan questions about the UFC so he wouldn’t have to spend 3 hours talking about actual election issues.

I would guess most likely Kelly is one of the sources, who has gone on record backing up various aspects of Goldberg’s stories. Even unnamed sources are still better than the “Haitians are eating pets” claims which you believe yet were all third or fourth hand and often just based on social media posts. I don’t get anything out of it. I’ve said repeatedly I prefer not to use the news as sources, I prefer primary sources. The alleged comment seems to be a he said/she said situation that is gonna be hard to prove or disprove unless there’s audio. But whether or not the family asked Trump/the WH to pay something and whether or not they actually did can be easily proven or disproven.

I’m more curious about reneging on the financial promise. According to the article, the family’s lawyer says they sent a bill to the White House, and the military/government did not pay the entire cost. And despite condemning the article as a whole she has not commented about that aspect of it.
