Male golfer competing for LPGA spot

My main question was how good the guys were that they brought in. There are 3 guys mentioned in the article. One is a D1 women’s coach, so decent chance he could have been a decent player if he went somewhere other than UConn, and they say one of the others was on a HS team that made the state finals. These aren’t just “random dudes,” they’re likely pretty good players just not D1 level. And even if they could dominate the women’s team, also keep in mind UConn is a step below the WNBA.
  2. So it’s a “dead heat”?

Rich coming from the guy who on many occasions has typed out “LESSONS FOR LIFE LOSERS”
  5. Well that was the only comment I was disputing. Neither the family nor the lawyer have specifically answered whether Trump/the White House paid. And the lawyer is quoted as saying he did not. Maybe that’s a lie, if so I’d think we’d see a lawsuit from her. The gofundme from the gullible righties would be enormous.
  6. Wait Trump actually uses the term “Trump Derangement Syndrome”? He really does keep up with social media huh

Can you share articles/interviews about the UConn women practicing with men? I don’t doubt they did it and that it helped, but saying they “became a dynasty because of it” seems like a stretch. I’d also be curious what kind of players these guys were. Someone that goes to UConn but isn’t on the men’s team could still be about D2 level, so I don’t think our opinions are necessarily that far off. And even junior college isn’t necessarily far off from D2.

No, this is not conceivable. No one is going to fake being a woman so they can make $75k a year in the WNBA. I’m just saying the chances are extremely slim there will be someone who really thinks they’re a woman, and is good enough (even as a male) to compete in the WNBA (or NCAA D1). But yes, I would agree that WNBA players probably wouldn’t stand for it (and I of course agree that biological males should not participate in women’s sports). But as @MDC alluded to, glad we can all agree that Britney Griner is a woman (not saying you ever said otherwise).
  9. I don’t think what he’s doing is illegal. But I know righties would be whining about it if he was supporting Dems
  10. Horseman coming in to edit the post and not acknowledge it in 3, 2, 1 Or say a comment about how geniuses can’t spell or something

That was a fast goalpost move from “there absolutely was truth to it” to “don’t you think it happened?” Haitians have been in Miami for decades, have there been any cat eating stories there?
  12. I don’t think they need to “hammer down” on him. But it’s OK to point out specific things that could have been done differently.

There was no truth to Haitian migrants in the US eating cats
  14. Seems like Ms Khawam and the Guillen family have an opportunity to sue the Atlantic into oblivion if what they’re saying is true.

Wait aren’t you the guy that believed an anonymous Reddit post saying Kamala had a 78 IQ?
  16. Like I said in my earlier reply to you, I’m more concerned about facts than news articles. There are 2 main claims made in this article. The first is that Trump called Guillen a “f’ing Mexican,” which is disputed. But it’s worth noting that this alleged statement was obviously not made when the family was present so they would have no way of knowing if he actually said it. Lots of people are nice to people’s faces and talk crap when they’re not around, we don’t know if that’s what happened here. The second is that he renegged on paying for it, which I have not seen disputed. So there are 2 questions that I don’t believe we know the answers to: 1) Did the family send a bill to the White House with an expectation that Trump/the WH would pay it? 2) If yes, did Trump/the WH actually pay for it? Based on the statement attributed to Khawam, the answer to #1 is yes and the answer to #2 is no. And despite claiming Goldberg “lied in the article,” she did not say what the lie(s) was. As a lawyer I’m sure she chose her words carefully.
  17. Well they definitely didn’t give her the questions ahead of time, that’s for sure

You guys must really not think very highly of women’s athleticism. A dude going into the WNBA would have to be pretty good even as a male to make it in the WNBA. Probably like NCAA D2 level IMO. Has there ever even been any trans women in NCAA basketball, particularly D1? Doing a quick search I can’t find any, although there have been trans men that played on women’s teams before taking testosterone.
  19. I look forward to the lawsuit from Ms Khawam (she’s a lawyer after all), if this particular statement directly attributed to her is a lie. Interestingly she did not address this part in her condemnation of the article.

Lol at accusing me of cherry picking after you posted this garbage article. The article (as well as others on this subject including NY Post and Fox News) are the ones cherry picking and in this case outright lying by inserting words that were not there. The article (again similar to others I’ve seen) includes both of the two sentences I did, but lists them in different parts of the article, and even puts the second sentence ahead of the first! And again this article adds words that were not there: Quote from article: more than 600 biologically female athletes have lost at least 890 medals to transgender competitors Actual quote in paper: over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have lost more than 890 medals Yes, the paper (not a study as the article claims) is clearly against trans women participating in women’s sports, but it’s obvious that the numbers cited are referring to where women’s divisions were removed in favor of mixed gender. Both to anyone that understands the English language, as well anyone that understands simple math. It says over 890 medals were lost in over 400 competitions, which if this were only referring to medals lost to trannies, would mean that there was an average of more than 2 trannies medaling in each of the competitions. And even if that was a real number, which it’s not, the paper gives no frame of reference for the timeframe, geography, age group, or level of competition. @Strike wrong again, and then doubles down on being wrong, lol. I’ve said before that you need to do a better job vetting your sources and this is yet another example. I prefer to use primary sources and not news articles. But since I’m a nice guy unlike you, I’ll try to help you out. If an article cites a “study,” but doesn’t link to said study as was the case here, there’s a decent chance the article is misinterpreting what the study actually said. If it was a “study” at all which this one wasn’t. HTH and have a good day.

Here is the paper: https://www.ohchr.org/sites/default/files/2024-09/sr-vawg-ga79-report-auv_0.pdf And here is the quote in question (page 3): The replacement of the female sports category with a mixed-sex category has resulted in an increasing number of female athletes losing opportunities, including medals, when competing against males. According to information received, by 30 March 2024, over 600 female athletes in more than 400 competitions have lost more than 890 medals in 29 different sports This isn’t talking about losing opportunities to trannies, it’s talking about losing opportunities to actual men because they combined men and women together. It doesn’t even say this happened because of trannies. @Strike wrong again.
  22. He wasn’t indicted (or “indicated,” lol), some randos filed a civil suit against him.
