Well, asking ChatGPT of course so maybe it’s wrong, but apparently a single “hyperscale” data center uses the same amount of electricity as 260,000 teslas, and there are currently almost 600 hyperscale data centers in the US. So the current hyperscale data centers already use as much electricity as 156 million teslas, and that’s still 10 years ahead of 2035. Not to mention I think most people figured getting rid of gasoline powered cars wasn’t going to happen anyway.

Because I think that’s a relevant question particularly when factoring in the amount being spent on data centers as it relates to the total GDP of the country + the impact on electricity prices.

Saying “he was just making a playful jab at losers here” to me implies you think he might not actually believe the video is evidence this lady is a paid protester, which IMO would contradict your post saying they did enough DD to surmise it But, OP’s follow up posts certainly indicate he does truly believe it. And to my earlier point, some of his follow up posts also suggest he thinks her being a “paid protester” just means showing up and holding a sign or something. If she is “being paid to protest,” she’s there to do actual work in organizing the protest. That’s an important distinction IMO, and one that both sides have done. (And even the CEO of “crowds on demand” has said he’s worked with both sides as well).

Ed posting misleading articles that have already been posted elsewhere. I remember last year when Ed posted about them offering discounts that they had offered for years and thinking they were unusual, lol.

The lady willingly says she’s there on behalf of Rise and Resist. I doubt she’d admit that then lie about whether or not she was paid. But sure, it’s theoretically possible she was paid. But as has been stated, there is no evidence provided that she was. She clearly enjoys what she does, it doesn’t look like she needs compensation to do it. And I didn’t say there was anything wrong with being paid to organize protests, I was just pointing out that it’s common from both sides. The clear implication from these claims of “tHe DeMs ArE pAyInG pEoPlE tO pRoTeSt!!” is to imply that the crowds are basically filled with people being paid to be there, and that the crowds would be much smaller if they weren’t paying people to be there. There is nothing even close to suggesting that is the case, all that’s been shown is there were some people helping to organize the protest, with the only one shown in the video specifically denying being paid.

Well for one she specifically says in the video that she is not being paid. So if she is being paid, which again she specifically denies, it’s not “to protest.” It’s to help with ORGANIZING the protest. Some legal analysis: TL/DR: what he did probably wasn’t illegal at the time, but it could have become illegal if he later acted on any alleged promises. Even outside of bribery allegations, if he did actually take the money, he needs to declare it on his tax returns or else it’s tax evasion.
