It means I thought the outrage over this specific player was being overblown. To be clear that was more referring to social media comments and not here, that kept pointing out how the team was 10-0 or whatever their record was at the time. But they hadn’t beaten anyone good and now have lost several matches to other teams who aren’t even that good.

I didn’t say D1 was the only thing that mattered. Just saying that the lack of success by trannies in D1 outside of Thomas suggests that they’re not going to “take over,” although at least you acknowledge that isn’t really your concern. I do think part of the reason they have not done well in D1 though is that there are hormone requirements. They can’t just decide one day they’re a girl and compete, like they can in high school.

I agree, as I said earlier she should not be playing against women. And the potential for a safety issue in general is part of the reason why. Just saying this particular person doesn’t appear to really pose one. Part of the reason I call this out is that many people pretty sure including some here have claimed that trannies were going to “take over” women’s sports. But to my knowledge Lia Thomas is the only one that’s made a meaningful impact in D1. I think the women that beat the trannies at these sports deserve a lot of praise, and IMO that’s just as beneficial maybe even moreso for the cause of “saving women’s sports” than forfeiting.

It’s possible, but it’s not like she doesn’t know what she’s doing, she’s been playing volleyball for years. If she had so much power such that it was a safety issue, the other team wouldn’t be able to stop her, and her stats would be a lot better. Pretty simple concept really, not surprised you don’t get it.

If it was truly a safety issue, she (and the team) would actually be better.

What was the context that would change that statement? It was moreso the other guy saying it, but Jones agreed. Edit: I know he wasn’t saying they “should” do it and it was more of an “if” someone (implying Democrats) did it, but it doesn’t change what they think the outcome would be and how the statement could influence someone that actually wanted a Republican to win
