    Guess Who the Teacher Is?

Yeah, the two weirdos that started two threads about me in a week…
  2. Correct. I was more talking about what the narratives from conservatives would be after either one happens.

    Guess Who the Teacher Is?

My apologies, I guess @EternalShinyAndChrome made it up, and you believed him no questions asked for some reason. Not sure why you’d do that, that dude believed the 8 diverse characters in Snow White were meant to replace the 7 dwarves, based on an intentionally cropped photo. He also said in regards to Vance Boelter, that he would “let it play out,” then 10 minutes later came to the incorrect conclusion. He also said about 4 times sarcastically that Kilmar Abrego Garcia “JUST REMEMBERED” being tortured, but then said I was “making things up” because I interpreted that to mean he thought the torture didn’t happen.

    Guess Who the Teacher Is?

Wow, two threads about me in a week, I’m flattered. But I am not a teacher. @5-Points made that up. He also claimed I “moved the goalposts” despite what he’s claiming I “moved the goalposts” to being literally the first sentence of the thread I started, lol.
  5. I think 1 of 2 things happen in regards to home prices. 1) Prices come down, but it will be because of a recession and significant job losses. Conservatives of course will declare prices came down because of mass deportations. Hopefully this doesn’t happen 2) Prices don’t come down (or go up), and conservatives will praise Trump for maintaining their home values, which for many is the primary source of their wealth. I don’t actually really disagree with this, but many people claimed this was a bad thing during Biden.
  6. Lol no I don’t. In fact I specifically said there are also a lot of legal immigrants working in the construction industry
  7. Well in addition to not making sense, it’s wrong. Do you think Section 8 neighborhoods haven’t dramatically increased in value since 2020?
  8. Lol, this doesn’t make any logical sense. But if you have any data to back it up please share.
  9. I’m aware of how subcontracting works (and specifically talked about it in one of the other threads). It’s silly to generalize and say who “always” does better work though (which is why I said “some” earlier). But I’m sure you’re well aware that even many “in house employees” are often (legal) immigrants as well.
  10. I’m not a teacher, but I can read just fine. Can you please explain how “less expensive neighborhoods becoming more populated by illegals and other low income individuals who drive property values down” actually leads to property values going up? Are you saying there are a lot of illegals living in the higher income neighborhoods?
  11. Your words not mine below. Not my fault you’re contradicting yourself. I don’t even agree with this reasoning anyway. Meanwhile, you (or anyone else with a similar opinion as you for that matter) have yet to provide any data to back up your claim.
  12. Thanks for confirming illegals don’t drive up housing costs overall!
  13. I think you just answered your own question. Some contractors might also argue they’re more skilled and more efficient.
  14. Well on the subject, I’ll be interested to see if this trend plays out among Hispanics over the next few years
  15. When compared to the alternatives, I’ll acknowledge that Tim Pool is probably one of the closer ones to the middle. Not “DC Draino” though
  16. I was not commenting about my opinion on “slave labor,” simply stating that it keeps prices from going even higher
  17. You’ve yet to provide any data to back up your claim. I suppose your theory is more demand at the lower levels increases prices at all levels? There may be a tiny smidgeon of that, but 1) it doesn’t explain prices going up at similar rates in areas where there are few illegals, and more recently yet before Trump, prices in areas with many illegals going down. And 2) more likely, more demand at the lower levels just pushes a lot of the others looking for similar-priced inventory out of the market altogether by living with roommates or family. So yes, as I stated from the very beginning, mass deportations may help the affordability of Americans looking for low priced housing in areas with a lot of illegals, but that’s about it. But it won’t bring down prices for the overwhelming majority of Americans, and might even increase them.
  18. You think illegals are buying new construction? Lololol
  19. Cool place. It certainly needs a lot of gardeners.
  20. Before commenting, I’d suggest you read the conversation in the Abrego Garcia thread where @RLLD incorrectly interpreted a statement from the author of a BBC article, then incorrectly attributed said statement to be from Abrego Garcia’s attorneys. Lol. Talk about metal helmet dumb…
  21. Huh? I didn’t say anything about the source. My comment was only about the quote provided.
  22. The “source” didn’t even say what you claimed!
  23. So, several replies so far, common theme being theories and “dur, it’s common sense!” No data yet. I was demanded to provide evidence for things I thought were common sense (which I did), let’s see some data for these theories. And “millions of additional people came into the country!” isn’t data.
