Well hopefully most of the time they aren’t just looking for people that look Hispanic and assuming they’re illegal, hopefully they actually know who they’re trying to arrest. In which case they likely have an idea of how long they’ve been here; and if they’ve been here for awhile and not committed any crimes other than being here illegally, they would be less likely to commit crimes other than being here illegally in the future. The data specifically shows that the increase in share of arrests of those with no prior convictions or pending charges started in April/May. So clearly something changed. I’m sure it couldn’t have had anything to do with Stephen Miller reportedly telling them to target Home Depot and the related quotas that he set. Nah, can’t be that… You’re such a sheep.
