You’ve seen her driver’s license? Link? Even if she did intentionally give the wrong name (not confirmed), that doesn’t mean she should get deported lol. Looks like her claim is that she was born here but then did live in Mexico for awhile but never got a passport. So if she was stopped at the border coming into the US, she wouldn’t have had a legal passport which might explain why she allegedly said at the border that she was a Mexican citizen (which according to the lawyer is not a lie, she is a citizen of both Mexico and the US).

Yeah the first part appears to be a lie. Weird that they would state definitively that she is an illegal alien if full due process has not played out yet, right? They also have careful wording about the communication with a lawyer, saying she “has access to a phone.” If they’ve been moving her around it makes it pretty difficult for a lawyer to reach her.

I’m not sure who did the reporting there, I’d guess it was a right winger trying to get rid of RealTim who was being by far the bigger man in that exchange. But of course free speech doesn’t apply to private websites.

I will say, the segment wasn’t particularly groundbreaking. Might be new information to the 80 year olds that still watch 60 minutes on over the air TV, but not really to anyone that has paid attention to this story. I don’t watch 60 minutes though so not sure if that is typical for them or not.
