Who said everything was fine? What even local Republican politicians are saying is that a lot is being done by both the government and the community. But it’s pretty much the worst storm the area has ever seen, it’s going to take time. -

1) They’re not being ignored 2) Buncombe County (home to Asheville, 60% for Biden in 2020) has as much population as like 4 or 5 of the other impacted counties combined 3) I’d still bet that even outside of Buncombe, in terms of property damage at least, it’s not mostly MAGA folks with the most damage. A lot of the damage occurred in expensive homes near lakes and rivers of transplanted retirees and vacation homes that are probably a mixture of political leanings. I’m sure there was plenty of damage to area native’s properties as well but the worst impact to them might be the roads that were destroyed cutting them off from going anywhere. -

Do you admit the $750 isn’t a loan? -

One volunteer was threatened with arrest, by a town fire department assistant chief, nothing to do with the federal government. -

Here is the part about loans, but homeowners can get up to $200k for that. https://www.fema.gov/fact-sheet/sba-loans-disaster-recovery -

Yes, I already posted proof that the $750 isn’t a loan. The people saying that were pulling quotes from a different section. Gonna admit you lied? -

The $750 isn’t a loan. And I’d say there’s about a 0.1% chance a FEMA director got beat up. But keep believing everything you read on Tik Tok -
Is it common for liberals to make anti-trans statements, like the Georgia shooter did?

Let me google that for you. This is a type of assistance that you may be approved for soon after you apply, called Serious Needs Assistance. It is an upfront, flexible payment to help cover essential items like food, water, baby formula, breastfeeding supplies, medication and other emergency supplies. There are other forms of assistance that you may qualify for to receive and Serious Needs Assistance is an initial payment you may receive while FEMA assesses your eligibility for additional funds https://www.fema.gov/node/fema-will-only-provide-750-disaster-survivors-support-their-recovery -

I’m sure there are some people being turned away, but like Joe Biden, some people that think they’re trying to help are just making it more complicated and could end up needing to be rescued themselves. I live about 2 hours away and tons of people from my area are going there with no specific destination, often driving non 4WD cars despite the roads being in awful shape. Obviously guys with actual credentials like the helicopter pilot that was threatened by an assistant fire chief should not be turned away, but they don’t need a bunch of randos all showing up with a few cases of water, some of which I bet are more there just to take pictures -
