I think he’s talking about me calling out his moronic comments about the 2024 economy being worse than 2008. Initially I thought he meant as a whole (which may be what he’s claiming is the “lie”), but he “clarified” that he was only talking about “the lower classes,” which of course is still equally stupid.

Actually to @RLLD’s prior claim that I “always have my mind made up,” somewhat on this topic is an example of something that I’ve changed my mind on after doing more research: diet soda (albeit not thanks to GC posters). I used to think diet soda was just as bad if not worse than regular soda, but now I realize that the data shows it is not nearly as bad as regular soda, and may even be able to considered not all that bad at all (in moderation).

Not even gonna acknowledge that you were over the line there? I honestly don’t care about that though, I’d just like to see if you have any evidence of HFCS being worse than sugar.

I was trying to be polite, providing links, and you kept talking down to me and failed to show anything to prove your point in the actual argument we were having. But Jerry, I’d like to revisit this debate if you don’t mind. Interestingly, you never responded after the last post of mine or @The Phantom's Phantom above, despite posting in this same thread later about other stuff. I really have one question: can you share evidence that shows that HFCS is worse than sugar? (Read: not simply saying “HFCS is bad”). Thanks in advance

Let me know when the last time was you actually showed evidence that proved your point. If people do post actual “evidence,” many times it doesn’t even say what they think it does (I know you have done this, as has @Strike in the Covid thread). So in this thread, we have: -You, who thought the 2024 economy was worse for the lower classes than 2008, “backed up” by randos being interviewed on YouTube that didn’t even say what you claimed -People claiming slavery wasn’t the primary reason for the civil war, “backed up” by either some dude wearing a Halloween costume, or nothing at all. RLLD claimed I did the same thing, and linked to the thread where you and I were arguing about HFCS vs sugar and I linked a “blog post.” Interestingly you tried to discredit it at the time for being a blog post as well, yet it was from a PhD that cited multiple sources, whereas you just posted google results that didn’t back up your claims (your links just said HFCS is bad, I agree, my point was it’s not much different than sugar, sugar is bad too but your links did not compare the two). Much different than a video of some guy playing dress up.

OK I’ll just mark that down as you still refusing to admit you believed an incorrect CBS news article. Back on topic, speaking of people coming off horribly in this thread, any comment on @Horseman claiming slavery wasn’t the primary reason for the Civil War or @Maximum Overkill saying it had nothing to do with it?
