Or earlier. People disingenuously responded to my comment in one of the immigrant crime threads that the perpetrator in that case had been here since at least 2020. But the reason I called that out is because people like to blame Biden/Harris for any illegal immigrant that commits a crime. This “influencer” specifically claims these people were “let in by the Biden administration” (no community note despite 16 million views, not to mention the video specifically says the number includes those that have been ordered to be deported). “End Wokeness” initially said the numbers were only since 2021 later editing it but not before many had seen it and it was reposted by the likes of Riley Gaines

First of all, lol at @Strike complaining about the MSM lying about Trump and then calling Biden a pedo. Oh the irony. Sure the media may amplify some of what Trump says, but it usually starts with just that, something he says. Obviously that doesn’t excuse people trying to kill him, but even people like @nobody point out that it’s Trump specifically that is being targeted, not the party. And we know there are plenty of people within the Republican Party that hate Trump too. That’s why I wouldn’t be surprised if Thomas Crooks wanted a Republican that wasn’t Trump to be President. Even if you go back to his primary run in 2016, he was most definitely polarizing then starting with the “drain the swamp” talk. That wasn’t just targeted at the left. Here is literally when the NY Post endorsed him, and they still said he was “too harsh to his critics,” and needed to be “more presidential, more disciplined, more informed and less thin-skinned,” all attributes that contributed to him being polarizing. https://nypost.com/2016/04/14/the-post-endorses-donald-trump/ And here’s a Fox News article from before the 2016 election literally calling his comments polarizing. It probably helped him win that election by energizing people frustrated with the system, but it was still polarizing. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/not-scared-to-offend-people-despite-polarizing-remarks-voters-support-trump

Maybe this is just me being my centrist self, but as a parent of young kids (oldest is 9), I don’t talk politics with them at all. And anecdotally, neither do really any of our friends with kids. My parents-in-law and two brothers-in-law however, all staunch Trump supporters, often do around our kids, usually in a negative manner towards Democrats and especially Biden when he was in the race. Here is full article and “study” btw: https://www.cnn.com/2024/09/26/politics/kids-politics-trump-harris-what-matters/index.html I do think there is some truth to the statement about Trump specifically being so polarizing, and I wonder how these answers might differ if he was not the candidate. Along the same lines, going from Biden to Harris appeared to significantly change the results of the “would your parents allow you go to the house of someone who supports the opposing candidate” question, as with Biden & Trump the numbers were comparable, but then apparently the kids thought their parents would be more willing to allow them to go to the house of a Harris supporter than a Biden supporter: Amongst Democrat-leaning participants, 33% in May and 26% in September said their families would not let them visit the homes of children whose families support Donald Trump. Amongst Republican leaning-participants, 27% in May, but only 9% in September, said their families would would not let them visit the homes of children whose families support the Democratic candidate

Harris "interview" with MSNBC Stephanie Ruhle

They definitely teamed up on Trump, but I didn’t think she was asking mostly softballs. I still get annoyed that Kamala keeps talking about the “economy that Trump left us with,” when it was really the result of Covid, and even Ruhle pointed that out. -

Why is American food so much worse than European?
TimHauck replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
Anything is “poison” at a high enough dosage. I suspect that is the case with tartrazine. I’m no nutritionist but while I agree those food items are not healthy obviously, tartrazine is probably low on the list of reasons why. Tons of added sugars, trans fats, etc are likely worse. -
Yup. Even outside of the alleged stealing, she could have handled the conversation better. But he was nuts. I’d maybe give him a pass on being a jerk if they were delayed awhile, but he still took another step by posting it online.

No, but don’t you typically argue for less government intervention? -
Agree. Starting recording before she even walked by shows he was just looking for confrontation. Even his wife was embarrassed by him.

Lebron James - 20 years - 4 titles. Did he squander his chance at GOAT?

Who in this thread said he was the best ever? But saying “maybe top 15” is pretty laughable -
She also claims she offered to give it to the flight attendant, and that they were told they might not even get back on the same plane. If that is true, then I’d file it under “finder’s keepers.” But something doesn’t quite add up if she says she was in the back of the plane, but he says “all the other people” saw her take it (if she was in the back then the people around him should have been gone). Which he may be telling the truth if he was able to correctly identify her, unless he was just asking all the blonde girls walking by.

I think it is a great example of a “first world problem.” If people care that much to comment about this, it is evidence that this country is pretty great. Don’t think Jesus would appreciate your name calling though.

“Amuse” is one of the worst accounts on twitter. Looks like the post was deleted though, what did it say? Surprised no one on here has posted the “update” about Routh’s son being arrested for child porn -

Maybe he should have also scored more points, got more assists, more steals, and shot better from the free throw line. -
