Jim’s is overrated IMO. Pat’s gets sh1t on by a lot of locals but they did invent the thing, and their efficiency is unmatched. Angelo’s is probably my favorite though, even though it’s not quite a traditional cheesesteak. Haven’t had Sonny’s. Also been meaning to try John’s Roast Pork when back in the area but their hours are crazy.

Angelo’s (made famous by Dave Portnoy) is the real deal for both pizza and cheesesteaks. Also can’t really go wrong with Pat’s who invented the cheesesteak even though some claim it’s a tourist trap.
