Here was the initial post that Biles responded to from Gaines, quoting a photo of a high school softball team and saying “comments off lol. And worth noting that she did not even express support for males playing women’s sports. Gaines then even added a comment under that about “protecting abusive men,” but still nothing about locker rooms. In summary, this conversation started with a picture of a high school softball team. Ultimately Riley Gaines compared Simone Biles speaking out against sexual abuse to Simone Biles speaking out in defense of a high schooler. You can deny it if you want, but that’s what happened.

She’s taller than me lol. I’ll admit it’s an odd comment because Gaines isn’t particularly tall, but maybe because Biles is so short she actually thinks someone that’s 5’5 is a giant. But people like @TBayXXXVII calling that “body shaming” and having no issue with anything Gaines says is pretty hilarious

Which to that point was another common argument here: that “we” didn’t put him in prison, El Salvador did. Easily getting him back proves it was us who put him in prison in El Salvador.

I’m not saying they’re fabricated, I’m just saying they were “drummed up” for the purpose of making sure he’s charged with something when he comes back to the US. I’ll wait and see if anyone else is charged, but I’m skeptical. I didn’t say they thought we “couldn’t get him back if we wanted to.” I said they thought we/Trump even asked. Not all, but many. @Cdub100 was one I saw at first glance. But fair enough though, what was a more common argument was people saying we didn’t even need to ask (I know @EternalShinyAndChrome was one of those). Drumming up these charges shows that the admin knew they had to try to get him back. And of course, since we’re paying El Salvador to imprison these folks, they gave him back willingly.
