It’s probably safe to assume that most of that 5% was moving away from Biden (even if not voting for Trump). If reflective of the country, isn’t that be pretty significant?
-
The point is you sound like a hypocrite by saying those 2 things would only be a 3 on a scale of 1-100 while simultaneously disagreeing with them. So you’re saying there should be nothing other than saying it’s illegal to discriminate. You are welcome to your opinion of course but I do think it is beneficial to have at least a little more than that. Also, when people actually get to the interview they know their name, dumbazz. It’s more about when selecting who’s going to be interviewed.

That they made him appear more senile than usual. After the state of the union there were many people believing he wasn’t actually senile.

I didn’t mind Vivek, but please tell me you guys don’t believe this nonsense conspiracy theory

Sorry. I had, and then he started saying it again out of nowhere. It’s a little odd to me though that no righties will call him out though.

Louisiana requires Ten Commandments displayed in every public classroom

Agree with Mr Santos -
Sure. But still irrelevant to your wildly incorrect claim of this being the worst economy of the lower classes lifetime
-
People saying they’re voting for Trump doesn’t mean they think this is the worst economy of their lives (unless they are 8 years old and thus can’t vote). HTH

So you think the two things I suggested would only be a 3 on a scale of 1-100, but you disagree with one maybe both of them, lol. One other thing one of my last jobs did was hold a total company conference call I believe during the Holidays where people from different backgrounds shared some of their culture’s traditions, I thought that was pretty cool.

NFL ordered to pay fans $4.7B in Sunday Ticket antitrust lawsuit
TimHauck replied to cmh6476's topic in The Geek Club
Was ESPN’s offer to pay the NFL higher than DirecTV’s? And isn’t it even more expensive on YouTubeTV now than it was on DirecTV? And if it’s only for out of market games, why would Fox and CBS care? -

What was this lawsuit about? Does this mean it shouldn’t be exclusive to YouTube TV either? -
Can’t think of any good ones

No. But there can also be unconscious biases which doing things like removing names from resumes can counteract.

I’m gonna guess there is little overlap between crypto bros and people that shop at Tractor Supply. Except maybe Ben Askren

The main point of my OP is that there can be a middle ground between overt discrimination and “bending over backwards in the name of DEI.” We don’t need Chief Diversity Officers, but I think HR departments requiring employees to take a 1 hour online training module can be helpful.
-
As I said in the OP I would agree that many companies have taken it too far, but the literal definition of DEI is about giving people a fair shot.
-
https://www.dictionary.com/browse/dei#google_vignette DEI1 abbreviation for diversity, equity, and inclusion: a conceptual framework that promotes the fair treatment and full participation of all people, especially in the workplace, including populations who have historically been underrepresented or subject to discrimination because of their background, identity, disability, etc

Do you believe the current economy is the worst of the lower classes’ lifetime?
-
You do realize your primary “evidence” for your asinine claim of the current economy being “the worst of the lower classes’s lifetime” is interviews of people saying they’re voting for Trump over Biden, right? 1) The time period of Trump and Biden being President has only been 8 years. And technically now isn’t even the worst as the beginning of Covid was worse, especially for the lower classes who were more likely to work customer facing jobs more affected by restrictions and people social distancing. But at least that was fairly short-lived, and Covid wasn’t Trump’s fault. However post-2008 was far worse, as evidenced by less people living in poverty and far lower unemployment even among those without a HS diploma. 2) Interviews of a few people doesn’t prove anything anyway. Yes, I’m sure there are some people who are currently doing the worst economically of their lives and I am not minimizing what they are experiencing. But that doesn’t mean it’s the “worst of their lifetime” for the lower class as a whole, and without a doubt the data proves that is false.

You can thank Elon. The only way I’ve gotten it to work is hit “embed post” and then you have to copy the link from the new window that pops up into here

Who said hundreds? Probably a combination of statute of limitations and the cases would mostly be he said she said and thus unlikely to get a conviction
