Transgender runner blows out competition, he sets season records in girls' races at Oregon high school track meet đ
TimHauck replied to Maximum Overkill's topic in The Geek Club
To be fair, although I took a break for a bit so not sure what exactly Tranny Overkill has been up to recently, most of his threads in the past werenât about trannies in sports. IIRC, they were often just some random undated picture that sometimes wasnât even from the US -

When that happens the usual suspects say âwhere my libtards at?â -

Current evidence actually shows that artificial sweeteners are better than sugar for weight loss/not gaining weight, and actually no significant difference vs water https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC4786736/

Mountain Dew? No. Diet Mountain Dew? Iâm on the fence (as far as allowing it to be purchased with SNAP). I used to think Diet Soda was bad too, but then I looked into it and itâs really not, although I wouldnât go as far as saying itâs âgood.â Unlike most here I am open to changing my opinion based on the available evidence. Just because a lot of fat people drink diet soda doesnât mean itâs the diet soda that made them fat.

Thatâs quite the backtrack from diet soda being âone of the worst things on the planetâ

I donât see any comparisons of diet vs regular soda here. This reminds me of @jerryskids prior claims about HFCS

I was more getting at her current relationship with RFK, not so much her former one. Iâm sure the dude doesnât shut up about vaccines causing autism -

What conclusion do you mean? Google suppressed results? Sure. Vaccines cause autism? No. -

Good to see Riley Gaines draws the line somewhere. Recently she was shilling ivermectin with a promo code and suggesting it cures cancer. Oh and Jerry, before you accuse me of only piling on conservatives, I do agree with this. Iâm on board with making unhealthy items not eligible for SNAP benefits. There are probably items that arenât currently eligible that should be though. Also donât think itâs been discussed here but part of this conversation I saw was people talking about the % of SNAP dollars that go to Pepsi or Coca-Cola the companies, not just the soft drink. But they own other brands too so that could be misleading. Yeah, deciding whatâs âunhealthyâ could be tricky. I could probably be convinced to allow Diet Soda but not regular. There have actually been studies showing that diet soda really isnât that bad for you, or maybe not bad at all. Decent summary here:

Itâs a high priority for conservative voters who were going to vote Republican anyway. Itâs a consideration for moderate voters, but not near the top of the list of priorities. -

Correct. My post in this thread was serious. I agree this is an issue, and I thought Trump has said he would pull federal funding from schools that allow it. Honestly I was initially going to comment about the OPâs wording of âseason record,â because I believe this was only a meet between 2 teams, and the ârecordâ was simply the runnerâs personal record. However a quick search reveals this runner won a girlâs state championship last year, so this is an instance where the competitive balance is being disrupted (unlike the San Jose State volleyball player for example). As far as the Signal thread, as Iâve stated in the past, my issue isnât so much with most of the Republican politicians themselves (I wouldnât necessarily say anyone should be fired over this, but it is amusing to watch them go into CYA mode - actually maybe Waltz should be fired given his obvious lies), itâs moreso with the hypocritical sheep that will believe everything they get from the playbook. I find it especially funny that it seems people (not necessarily here) are simultaneously arguing that the information is a nothingburger, but also that Goldberg should be prosecuted. -

I thought Trump put an end to this? Has this personâs school lost their federal funding? -

This is the interview that was used as the basis for the claim that the astronauts were left up there longer for political reasons (including by this very article): https://arstechnica.com/space/2025/03/butch-and-suni-send-mixed-messages-on-whether-politics-delayed-their-return/ Only problem is that Wilmore specifically said âpolitics is not playing into this at all.â -
