Yes, it was a Saturday, I think they were studying for finals. No clue if the professor typically goes to that sort of thing, or if this professor was celebrating Shabbat like the President of the College Republicans was. But if it was a targeted attack by Iran on a religious Jew, they should know they wouldn’t be doing work on Shabbat. So that brings up another possibility which @jerryskids will not like, since Israel randomly accused Iran of committing the MIT murder out of the blue, maybe that actually means Israel did it? They have of course been known to kill scientists.
