Posters here who claim to be centrists but who support all liberal policy and hate conservative beliefs.

I’m not Sho Nuff, I was around when he was around but I only posted on the main bored until it became a ghost town. Operation Warp Speed was Trump’s greatest achievement. But the vax shouldn’t have been mandated. I also liked his tax cuts and increasing the standard deduction. Would you like to know the names of the other Republicans I voted for in this election? -

I think as a whole they do want to get rid of illegals. I don’t think that many want him to significantly change the methods which make one illegal though like he wants to do with birthright citizenship. -

I said this in another thread but I did vote for 5 Democrats and 4 Republicans last week, so I guess that means I “lean left” now. And I was 8 for 9 in them winning, only one that lost was in a local race that I mostly only voted for the guy (Republican) because our kids were on the same tee ball team. -

I voted for Trump 3x. I don’t hate “conservative beliefs,” but many of the conservative posters here are giant dbags so I enjoy proving them wrong. -
Maybe… I’m sure there are many right wing lawyers that would love to take that case if so

Huh? I literally said I don’t have a problem if all they were saying was “no men in women’s sports.” But if they were saying “# whatever has a d1ck” or something then yes that could certainly be considered unsportsmanlike.
-
Ok so your first scenario is basically one of the few times I cited where it would actually have an impact. Your second point may be true but honest question, what are Trump’s plans to reduce materials costs?
-
I can’t really hear what’s being said here and don’t know what was said that led to this, but “free speech” doesn’t mean you can say whatever you want at sporting events. Referees or administration are within their right to eject attendees for what they consider to be unsportsmanlike behavior. If they only chanted “no men in women’s sports,” I wouldn’t consider that to be unsportsmanlike, but I’m guessing there was more said than that. Also kinda weird that they’re going after the opposing team’s AD, they’re not the ones with the tranny on their team. The tranny’s team lost this match, btw.

Yes, and yes I said less jobs “could” happen. It won’t always happen, but if sales decline, that’s a likely result, or things like reduced hours particularly if we seem to be talking things like restaurants here. Again I agree we don’t need to keep illegals here just so they can provide cheap labor, just saying that is an impact of them being here. I do think you may be underestimating the potential cost impacts. As @Sean Mooney said, I wouldn’t necessarily bank on people gladly paying more because there’s an American washing their dishes. Yes, the people eating there have disposable income, but they don’t need to spend it all there. Instead of 3x a week at the Italian restaurant, maybe 1 of those goes to Chili’s instead, and it trickles down. Ironically, I’d predict the biggest impact could be on housing, as there are a lot of illegals working in the construction trades. I know some here will claim that will be offset by less people looking for housing, but unless you’re looking to move to a border town or crime ridden area of a major city, I’d disagree.

I agree with this phrase from @weepaws for once. I thought Sanders was always a socialist. Didn’t realize @Frozenbeernuts was a commie

This is still great: https://twitter.com/thereal_truther/status/1827053305614483788 BREAKING: RFK JR. abandons his supporters to endorse the father of the Covid vaccine

Agree

Many do, but I would guess that far less people love what RFK is selling compared to what Elon is selling. Elon is a great businessman, but RFK does not have any qualifications to run our health agencies.

Probably an accident, he deleted it and apparently has done it several times before. Not everything is some secret code https://twitter.com/WildOwl25/status/1855846635827593257 -
Can’t speak for RealTim but while I wouldn’t say inflation is necessarily a reason why we shouldn’t do mass deportations, it’s certainly a concern that I think many Trump supporters don’t realize. Wouldn’t it just be “a temporary inflation rise” in the same sense that 2021/2022 was? The % increase has cooled significantly, but I feel like all we hear is “yeah but it’s still way up vs 2019/2020!” Also, while higher wages for the jobs currently being filled by illegal immigrants should be good for the citizens that might fill the jobs, it wouldn’t be good for the people using the services, and could cause lower demand which then causes less of those jobs to be available.

Obviously he meant Musk. But if one of us said that then @Horseman would be posting about it for the next several years -

Woman Fired For Refusing Covid Vaccine Wins Record $12 Million
TimHauck replied to seafoam1's topic in The Geek Club
I was always against the mandates so am OK with this decision, but weird IMO that it seems to focus on her Catholic religion as the reason she won. Where in Catholicism does it talk about not taking vaccines? Or was she doing the thing where they claimed the covid vax had dead babies in it or something? -
I wouldn’t drop Seibert, he’s the top scoring kicker in the league. I’d drop Allen

FEMA aid workers skipped houses with Trump signs
TimHauck replied to Strike's topic in The Geek Club
I agree, my point was moreso in reference to people that may be suggesting that this story is evidence of a larger conspiracy or government bloat. If anything these are the types of positions they need more of (as evidenced by their apparent struggle to fill them), but unfortunately it’s not always easy to get qualified candidates for non full-time work. But you’d think you’d be able to at least find someone who doesn’t think someone that disagrees with them doesn’t deserve help after a disaster -

She was a “reservist” according to her Linkedin https://www.fema.gov/careers/paths/reservists (bolding not mine) Due to the unpredictable nature of disasters, FEMA employs a temporary, on-call workforce, known as Reservists. Reservist work is available on an as-needed basis (it is not full-time or continuous) that link still shows they are offering sign on bonuses for it. So doesn’t seem like it was really an in-demand position.
