The difference is that generally speaking, most of the guns used in crimes in the areas you mention are likely already illegally owned. Many times the ones used in school shootings are obtained legally. Not saying to ban all guns but there does seem to be something about AR-15’s and similar that make them popular for school shootings. Getting rid of them wouldn’t stop school shootings but if they are more efficient at killing larger numbers (and I know there is debate on that) then it might not be a bad idea. But better background checks or harsher penalties for parents whose kids take their unsecured guns would probably do more.

Thank you, I hadn’t seen her say that, but that’s not saying Khelif is trans, it’s saying she’s a man which is different. As I said in the other thread, IANAL but I’d imagine she has a good case for defamation against anyone that called her trans. We still don’t really know the chromosome specifics, if she does actually have a Y chromosome then those that called her a man might actually have legal ground to stand on.
