Well I haven’t heard about Nike or Maybelline firing their VP of marketing for partnering with Dylan Mulvaney, have you?

RFK probably would have been better off doing that. He has zero chance as a Dem

So I guess we can all agree that men are more upset by the existence of trannies than women are? And yet, I thought part of the argument against trannies (particularly M to F ones) was they’re “trying to erase women.” If that were the case then people should be more upset when products marketed towards women are using trannies in their advertisements. But like Gutter said, with which you seem to agree, the moral of the story is the Bud Light boycott isn’t about putting an end to the trans religion or whatever buzzword people like to use, it’s just because they don’t like trannies being affiliated with stuff they use.

And why would Nike giving Mulvaney some Bud Light impact other Bud Light drinkers? Because you think they’re selling an “image,” lol? What image is that? Buying the cheapest beer you can find that’s not Natty light? If Bud Light is selling an image, so is Nike. Maybelline even moreso. Apple was only brought up because Strike said he didn’t support companies producing stuff with child labor or in third world countries. I guess if he doesn’t use Apple products that’s actually one part of his life where he’s not a hypocrite. And just a reminder, this was part of the reason why Maybelline and Nike were brought up. Peefoam was literally asking.

Most of the hypocrisy is in the form of all the social media outrage. Plenty of the people congratulating the Bud Light boycott in here and elsewhere never bought Bud Light to begin with, and yet they’re still talking about it. But not much discussion about Nike or Maybelline, who literally did the same exact thing as Bud Light at the same time.

Did you get rid of all the stuff you already owned though? And I take it no Apple products for you then?

Everyone burned all their Nike stuff too right?

That was kinda the point. Apparently dudes are actually much more sensitive than women.

Correct, that was part of the point, which of course has been stated in here many times

100% this. I believe this boycott also shows the effect of peer pressure. I think part of the reason for the success of this boycott is even for people that don’t really care if they paid a tranny to advertise, is if you’re drinking with a group of friends, chances are one of them will make a comment about it, so it’s easier to just drink something else instead (and of course as has been stated in here repeatedly, the fact that Bud Light isn’t a very good product to begin with and is easily replaceable, makes this decision even easier).

I guess Maybelline didn’t see the warning

No, but one would think they would rather accomplish what they feel strongest about…in this case, “defending the honor of women” or whatever the argument is. If you don’t like companies using trannies to advertise, you should be more upset If they advertise for something that is primarily meant for women, as opposed to something that literally anyone 21+ can consume. Heck, the same “relative privation” argument can be used for bud light in general. Just because they advertise to trannies doesn’t mean they stopped advertising to fat rednecks. Also lol that peefoam asked to show him examples of companies pushing this, so I did, and his response was basically “so what?” What a fraud

I’m not comparing it to a “different scenario;” it’s literally the same exact scenario - both companies used Mulvaney for an ad at the same time, with wildly different results. I don’t really care about whether or not people buy Bud Light, but when others have brought up in here about Miller and Coors also supporting pride month, the response was essentially, “supporting gays is fine, supporting trannies is not,” which I get. But there are companies that do support trannies including partnering with the same person Bud Light did, that didn’t receive near the same backlash. Yes, that is hypocritical, especially because Mulvaney has also advertised for actual women’s products and I thought a major argument against trannies is that they’re trying to “erase women.”

I assume your girlfriend stopped using Maybelline after they also partnered with Mulvaney, right? Looks like now they’re taking it another step further and partnering with a bearded person - This is where the hypocrisy comes in. Mulvaney’s Maybelline ad was the same time as Bud Light’s, but Maybelline got like 1/100th of the calls to boycott it, despite being a product that primarily targets women. With the number of people that claim trannies are trying to “erase women” or whatever, people should be much more upset over Mulvaney’s Maybelline ad than the Bud Light one.

Yea sorry, meant don’t think the movie should be judged based on what he says outside of it. Agree with your second paragraph

Honestly I don’t think he should be judged on what he says outside of the movie. But does that stuff make it’s way into the actual movie?

I was referring to this message board…where the sentence you quoted is 100% accurate.

No, when I started posting here, Covid was really all I posted about because I’m not interested in politics as a whole. Trying to reduce deaths from a disease that resulted in the greatest increase in deaths in 100 years shouldn’t have been political. I only started posting in some of the other political threads because it’s all you people talk about, and while I’m not a lib, it is more fun trolling righties than lefties.

What does this conversation have to do with Covid? And the right is instantly against what the left is for. Both sides do it. But since you brought up this message board, the groupthink is far more pronounced from the righties, albeit maybe that’s just because there are far more of them. Which you all usually try to keep that way by trying to scare off people with different opinions so that you can maintain your circle jerk.

This has nothing to do with mass formation psychosis, unless you’re back to the idiotic claim that all libs are pedos

Trump or Biden, I’ll take Trump. Hopefully this Biden investigation has legs though and then I’m on the Roy Cooper train.
