GC righties probably think it’s all 10 year old girls seeing the movie with their mom. It’s definitely more geared towards adults though

Looking at its box office numbers, a lot of people apparently

You’re insane if you think “you could argue women are treated better than men,” especially in the corporate world. I agree with your first two paragraphs though. Saw the movie last night with the wife and another couple. None of us liked it. Not because of “woke” though, it was just weird and boring in a lot of parts. [spoilers] I don’t really understand the “Ken is a beta cuck” or whatever argument though. First of all I’m sure the actual Ken doll pretty much was just a Barbie accessory for most girls with Barbies, so the Kens just “existing” was probably accurate. But when he comes back from the real world and the Kens try to take over, he does show some manliness. The Barbies did try to make the Kens more important at the end, but I was surprised at the line you mentioned and then there was another line where one of them asked to be on the Supreme Court, and the Barbies said no but you can be a judge in a lower court. Just a lot of weird stuff like that in the movie. Margot Robbie is hot though.

So if the same thing happened with a high school teacher and a student, you wouldn’t consider that grooming?

It does seem like the arrest could be over a “custody dispute,” still missing some details there though: I don’t see any evidence he only donated $500, best I can tell that came from a statement from Angel Studios saying that was the “average.” edit: beat me to it

I don’t mind having my balls busted or laughed at the once a year that I make a dumb comment. I don’t really enjoy the number of lies people around here like to spew though.

Is that Raven Fan/possibly an alias of a righty here?

Grooming can be “legal” dumbass. If a 30-something year old guy is a church youth counselor for an early teenage girl, then starts dating her shortly after she graduates high school? Yeah, that’s grooming. Swap “church youth counselor” for “liberal teacher” then tell us if you still don’t think that’d be considered grooming.

Yes, I think part of his point is that with Covid being an “emergency,” they wouldn’t have been as strict with that EUA requirement. Also even if ivermectin was 100% effective (remember when Weinstein implied it was? lol), it wasn’t a vaccine. You either needed to get sick first or take a pill every day. With the initial vaccine trials showing 95% efficacy against symptomatic infection, they still would have gotten EUA. The idea that people at the CDC/FDA “knew ivermectin worked but intentionally suppressed it,” is so far fetched. The goal was to end the pandemic. If ivermectin could have helped do that, it would have been embraced. And of course other cheap drugs such as Dexamethasone were found to be effective. Yes, people “attacked” ivermectin once it became political, but it’s clear now that it was not a miracle drug, as much as Weinstein and Pierre Kory want people to believe. I find it funny 99% of the “free thinkers” think both ivermectin works against severe Covid and the vaccine doesn’t. So much for “doing their own research,” because those conclusions are the opposite of the best data available. I do actually give Alex Berenson some credit for going against the grain and pissing off a lot of his followers by acknowledging that ivermectin doesn’t work, and also that it wasn’t “suppressed so that the vaccines could get an EUA.”

Bust balls and laugh…isn’t that what message boards are for?
-
This doosh thinks because Florida’s “study” was from a “state health department,” that means it was peer reviewed. I guess everything from the CDC was peer reviewed then too?
-
Except most of the Covid minimizers aren’t talking about that, most of the talk I see is blaming every death that happens on the vaccine

Fair enough. So “corporate America” wasn’t taught a lesson, just the part of corporate America that has a significant customer base consisting of right wingers.
