U.S. Military Boat Strikes and Venezuela Thread

Weirdly we only seem to have a conflict with cartels in Venezuela though -

I replied with an update. I said it’s not official yet. But I do think we will get there, at least with naming Venezuela specifically. Maybe we’ll just say it was an “armed conflict” and not a war though and you will lap it up like the sheep you are. -

You interjected Venezuela with the claim that I “confirmed Venezuela was a drug cartel”… -

I said they haven’t specified “Venezuela” yet. But considering the Geneva Conventions specifically use the term “armed conflict” to avoid loopholes of people saying “bUt We DiDn’T dEcLaRe WaR!” if they do specify that we’re in an “armed conflict” against Venezuela, you’ll be proven wrong. -

Okay semantics man. Why haven’t we blown up any boats recently that aren’t from Venezuela? -

Because we’re at war with them. Sorry, “armed conflict.” -

You mean because Trump has declared them “combatants” that we are now in an “armed conflict” against? -

I’m talking about you calling @squistion’s tweet a lie. Blowing up the boats is not a war crime because we’ve declared “armed conflict,” correct? -

Trump says we’re now in an “armed conflict.” Of course you’ll try to weasel out by saying “hE dIdN’t NaMe VeNeZuElA,” but have we blown up any boats recently that weren’t from Venezuela? But, specifying Venezuela specifically could still be coming: “We’re blowing boats out of the water in the Caribbean because they’re connected to international narco-terrorist groups,” Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC) said during a Judiciary Committee hearing last month. At the same hearing, Graham told FBI Director Kash Patel that Venezuela would be “a good candidate to be labeled as a state sponsor of terrorism under US law.” https://nypost.com/2025/10/02/us-news/trump-admin-says-us-in-armed-conflict-with-drug-smugglers-after-four-boat-strikes/ -
I’m kinda curious if this was an actual “pride” flag, or just a rainbow.

Fair, I was thinking this thread was more about speech but it does talk about other things as well

This might be better served in the Chicago immigration thread

Not a Candace Owens fan I take it? She was a big pusher of the “wHaT pErSoN tHaT aGe SaYs VeHiClE?” argument.

Still laughing that “all time” = 8.5 months according to Fox News. Silly me for thinking Fox News was being honest -

@squistion only quoted part of my post. You made a sarcastic remark about comparing data to prior years. Well, according to the very article used as the source for the data, August 2025 was flat to last year. So yeah, @BrahmaBulls wrong again. Although I suppose you might say something stupid like “I didn’t actually say the numbers were down, just that it’s possible to compare!” -

Agree. Maybe a few less elite QB’s and offensive lineman, but the NFL should be fine at the rest of the positions. -
