The job of a homemaker is to take care of a family and the place where the family lives. The usual things that a homemaker does are: Planning meals Buying food Preparing and cooking food Serving food Washing-up after meals Cleaning the house Organizing the home Decorating the home Doing seasonal cleaning like washing all the curtains Decorating (arranging the furniture and ornaments, and choosing the colors of things) Washing clothes Ironing clothes Mending clothes (and sometimes making them) Shopping for new clothes and other family needs Getting children ready for school Bathing and dressing children Feeding babies Playing with children Comforting babies, children and partners Doing first aid Caring for sick people Caring for pets Entertaining guests Planning for guests and holidays/celebrations Remembering everybody's birthday. Driving the kids to school, sport etc. Helping with homework Supervising music practice Reading storybooks Putting children to bed Cleaning out the garage Maintaining and watering household plants Preparing a budget Researching ways to use the household's income most efficiently Bill pay https://simple.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Homemaker

Found one of the guys that hires a cleaning service
-
Probably should add anyone that hires a cleaning service. I’m sure that will incorporate some GC’ers
-
That’s part of being a homemaker
-
So all the rich folk where one of the parents doesn’t work but they still have a nanny, au pair, personal chef, and/or maid are all bad parents also?
-
Righties think making $2+ billion a year in profit is comparable to saying “well they’re not bankrupt!”
-
Does @Maximum Overkill saying you’re bad parents if one of them doesn’t want to stay home with the kids count?
-
@edjr thought $99 for 4 days each was an unusual deal, lolololol
-
So all married couples should want to have one of them be a stay at home parent in order to be considered good parents?
-
Nothing wrong with being a stay at home dad either of course
-
For their sake, I hope #2 is a tranny
-
Ok racist
-
Cool, please quote who said they were afraid of traditional women. TIA
-
You realize you’re quoting a guy who is repeatedly claiming we are “sh1tting on moms” when no one has done that? Hypocrite.
-
Well you and Butker certainly want to influence their decision by saying it’s one of the most important titles of all.
-
Holy focking sh1t dude. No one (at least here, and really not that I’ve seen elsewhere) is sh1tting on homemakers. We’re simply saying it should be up to the woman to decide whether they want to be one, they don’t need men like your racist azz telling them “their life won’t really start” until they become one
-
Ok, hypocrite
-
But you’re not twisting people’s words to conclude they’re “afraid of traditional women”? Got it
-
I think you have it backwards. Butker and the people celebrating his comments seem afraid of women that make more money than them. I’ve noticed @Horseman has avoided this thread. @RogerDodger, do you think the “homemaker is the foundation of the family”?

You’re inferring what I said, or you’re lying. Actually, I know you’re lying because I never said that and specifically said the opposite as earlier in the thread I said I’d argue being a stay at home parent is more difficult than many 9 to 5’s. The hypocrisy of you putting words in my mouth and then literally 2 minutes later denying the clear implication of Butker’s comments is pretty hilarious.
-
Nothing is wrong with being a homemaker. Them being “the most important piece” is yours and Butker’s opinion and you are welcome to it. But it should be up to the woman to decide if that’s what they want to do. The weird flex was the millionaire telling half of his audience they just wasted $200k on a degree when “one of the most important titles of all is a homemaker” where of course a degree is not required. They are, that’s the point. Tell that to Harrison Butker.

I own a hammer with a small handle (and normal sized head).
-
Why are you so confident it wasn’t a hammer? I just told you where to look in the video that it looks like a hammer to me. If it is confirmed to be a hammer, would you concede that makes it a weapon? If the dead guy was black and the incident was on video, then I think it would be described in the same way. Especially since there is also video of his previous attack on the construction workers. Sure if there was no video then his mom would probably claim it was a Bible or something.
-
I actually think the hammer was in his left hand. After the trooper pushes him and the guy touches himself in the chest, it looks like the head of a hammer to me. Could’ve been one with a small handle.
