The USA Today article was kinda all over the place though. At one point it says “many of the WNBA’s biggest stars have been black,” which would imply there hasn’t really been a historical problem of a lack of black stars. I guess they were just saying more of the recent stars have been white. But they named 2 other apparent white stars both of which I had never heard of.

Honestly my reply was more to you anyway. Your post contradicted the article. IMO. The article was basically saying they “need” a black star because there have already been a lot of white stars. So they weren’t saying Clark “wouldn’t fit” in the WNBA, they were just saying there should be a black star so it gives young black girls someone to look up to. Which is kinda dumb because they make what, like $100k? For how hard it is to make the WNBA, they’d be much better off focusing on school.
