I think that’s the first time I’ve been called “fairly young” in awhile. I’m almost 40. I don’t recall much specific about Israel in my public school education, but I’m Jewish, remember? At synagogue and Hebrew school we were taught that Israel has always been the victim, and maybe that was true in the past. I never really thought much about Israel to be honest until October 7th, except regretting never taking the free propaganda trip there (my synagogue usually took kids that were in like 10th grade IIRC, but my class’s trip was cancelled due to a previous war or conflict). And obviously after 10/7 I supported Israel in responding. But as time went on, seeing a lot of the verified stories that were out there, I eventually realized that Israel’s army isn’t nearly as “moral” as they claim.
