  1. The “most centrist poster here,” ladies and gentlemen
  2. It’s not really about that. It’s about the slippery slope this is creating, 1) by the Trump admin blatantly defying the Supreme Court (despite trying to claim they ruled in their favor, lol), and 2) setting a precedent that they can just deport anyone (possibly even a US citizen), and once they are out of the country just say “sorry, it’s out of our hands now!”
  3. @Engorgeous George, do you think Garcia’a family could have a defamation case against people like JD Vance stating definitively he is a gang member, or Stephen Miller saying “I promise you if he was your neighbor you’d move right away”?
  4. I’d like to confirm he’s actually in a gang first, which apparently is based on the word of a guy who gave case information to prostitutes
  5. @EternalShinyAndChrome still thinks that’s what happened

    DOGE 👍

Not get any “DOGE dividends,” apparently
  7. IANAL like you but I don’t know how they could argue they attempted to “facilitate” anything if they didn’t ask. I have not seen evidence that they actually have (it was a media member that did in the clip of Stephen Miller being a racist liar). But it’s looking like if El Salvador does send him back then we’ll just send him somewhere else.
  8. Correct. This part of the conversation started when I said they (the US government) needed to at least ask.
  9. Cop that filed original report alleging this guy was MS-13 was indicted and pled guilty to “providing information to a commercial sex worker he was paying in exchange for sex acts.” https://newrepublic.com/article/194010/kilmar-abrego-garcia-case-trump-deported-error-another-hit
  10. I’m sorry you can’t read either

    DOGE 👍

Speaking of DOGE, Trump plans to wipe out their (alleged) savings to date by proposing to increase the defense budget by $150 billion.
  12. And in my earlier reply I wrote what I thought you were trying to say as well as my response to that. Do you disagree that pretty much all of MAGA thought the dwarves were replaced with the “7 diverse people”? It seems your point is that “of course they were going to have dwarves!” while forgetting the widespread conservative outrage when the picture of the non-dwarves went viral.
  13. Lololol you literally wrote 2 sentences with the complete opposite meaning. Please, read them again and let me know which one was a typo. I promise not to say it’s a gotcha, I really just want to understand what point you’re trying to make.

    DOGE 👍

Wouldn’t have to if you would actually admit when you’re wrong
  15. I’m sorry you can’t read
  16. Yes it does dummy. The district court ruled they must “facilitate and effectuate his return.” The order to facilitate his return remains in effect. Now please admit you were wrong.

    DOGE 👍

Yeah, can’t trust those liberal rags like when you believed the CBS article with false information about the North Dakota murder
  18. Bump for @Strike also. Will he at least admit one of these is a typo?
  19. They said they need clarification on the term “effectuate,” but that the order to “facilitate his return” remains in effect. Bolding mine: On Friday, April 4, the United States District Court for the District of Maryland entered an order directing the Government to “facilitate and effectuate the return of [Abrego Garcia] to the United States by no later than 11:59 PM on Monday, April 7.” On the morning of April 7, the United States filed this application to vacate the District Court’s order. The Chief Justiceentered an administrative stay and subsequently referred the application to the Court.  The application is granted in part and denied in part, subject to the direction of this order. Due to the administrative stay issued by The Chief Justice, the deadline imposed by the District Court has now passed. To that extent, the Government’s emergency application is effectively granted in part and the deadline in the challenged order is no longer effective. The rest of the District Court’s order remains in effect but requires clarification on remand. The order properly requires the Government to “facilitate” Abrego Garcia’s release from custody in El Salvador and to ensure that his case is handled as it would have been had he not been improperly sent to El Salvador. The intended scope of the term “effectuate” in the District Court’s order is, however, unclear, and may exceed the District Court’s authority.
  20. Did I miss the part in here where it says any illegal can be sent to a terrorist confinement center in El Salvador? I’m sure peefoam will say something stupid like “all illegals are terrorists”
  21. Are you arguing semantics about the word “facilitate”?
  22. Supreme Court said they had to
  23. Nope what? We can ask anything we want, especially since we’re paying them. They can say no, but then they should have an actual reason to keep him there. Is entering the US illegally a crime in El Salvador?
  24. You can ask. And considering we’re paying them, there’s not really any reason that they’d say no, unless they plan on releasing him.
