If James Cook balls out you might have a shot
-
Looks like every team still has both QB’s, and @BufordT was the only one to lose a RB
-
Looks like @Death , @BufordT, @BiffTannen , @Bier Meister and @Herbivore only have 7
-
Kinda seems like it https://twitter.com/Combat_Casuals/status/1878340040570384601 https://twitter.com/TeamKhabib/status/1878562981296165094

Not confirmed it’s what happened here, but thinking someone doesn’t understand English because they have an accent is absolutely racist, that’s not even a question. How does that video completely exonerate the crew?
-
I never said anything about Israel or Palestine or being Muslim. I just think she heard his accent and thought that meant he didn’t understand English. Here’s another video, other passengers say the flight attendant phrased it as a statement and not a question (although the guy saying “he speaks another language” is dumb). I was wrong about one thing though, they did actually offer him another “upgraded” seat (looks like @thegeneral called it as it probably just had 3 more inches of legroom). https://twitter.com/jas_r777/status/1878879600249655544
-
one sign this is likely a lie: they’re claiming they offered him an UPGRADED seat? When was the last time an airline (especially Frontier) offered someone an upgraded seat for allegedly not understanding the exit row instructions?
-
Without the video, I don’t know what to believe. But I think @Patented Phil is foolish to automatically believe Frontier 100%. Here’s what we know from the video we do have which indicates racism may have been involved: -Khabib was not acting aggressively -Khabib was speaking English and said he could help. -In that part of the video the flight attendant didn’t clarify why she was asking him to move, only that “it was up to their judgement” In addition, we know that Khabib is a celebrity so is likely no stranger to flying. How much he flies commercial maybe we don’t know, but I’d be surprised if he doesn’t know what an exit row is. I guess it’s possible he didn’t hear her initially or something.
-
Plenty of viral videos of white people getting into arguments on planes too. This one went viral because he’s famous, not because of his nationality.
-
No I didn’t, I just laughed that he automatically believed it
-
I already said previously we’d need to see that to confirm. I also just said it “seemed” like they were being racist, did not make any definitive statements unlike @Patented Phil who sure seems convinced the employees from a garbage airline did nothing wrong.
-
Yes that was written in English, that’s correct
-
Bootlicker believing everything the airline says, lol
-
Which Khabib can do
-
Never said that, in fact that particular passenger allegedly (jokingly) said she wouldn’t help anybody
-
I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that Khabib is probably in better shape than @jerryskids (sorry Jerry) as well as about 95% of airline passengers. You’re asked to help people deplane as well as possibly open the doors. You may not be “asked” to carry people but I’m sure someone would do it if they were capable, someone needed help, and they weren’t completely selfish
-
Not saying it’s never happened, but we often see videos like these on social media, and if this was actually a policy of Frontier I’d think we’d have seen more videos of it happening. I just did a quick search and the only other one I’m seeing is the one @HellToupee posted. It seems the claim there is that the lady made a joke saying “I won’t help anyone I’m going to save myself.” Which if true basically goes back to my earlier point about the only explanation for this that doesn’t involve racism is if Khabib refused
-
Because he’s strong and agile, dummy. If there was turbulence that caused people to hurt themselves he could pick people up to get them off the plane
-
Frontier trying to create the safest flight is funny. 2 incidents doesn’t really prove a pattern, I’d be curious if there were any similar videos of white folks. Because you know there have been Gen Z dudes with headphones on or something not paying attention that didn’t answer right away.
-
Also Frontier, interesting. Maybe they have some dumb policy where if the person doesn’t reply “yes” right away then they move them. I fly American often and it’s pretty common for people to just nod their head at first and the flight attendant will say “I need a verbal yes” and then no issues. Frontier is horrible in most other aspects so maybe they are horrible with this too.
-
No I don’t think she “didn’t want anything to do with him.” I just think she might have discriminated against him because he has an accent. Obviously I’m sure she deals with many foreigners and maybe her other experiences are why she has preconceived notions about their understanding of the English language. But Khabib is not a normal foreigner and I would certainly want him assisting in an emergency (although I’m guessing they didn’t know who he was)
-
Based on the video, he was understanding what they were saying just fine. I don’t think the flight attendant hates Muslims. I just think they discriminated against him because he had an accent. Khabib is exactly the type of guy that would be well suited to assist in an emergency…
-
Really the only possible explanation that doesn’t involve racism is that he knew what they were asking and refused to assist for some reason, which I find hard to believe.
-
Would have to see the initial convo when they did the exit row check. If he’s flying coach now stands to reason he’s done it before and thus would be familiar with the exit row procedures. His English seems pretty fine
-
Are they in the exit rows?
