I was sixteen in 1984. I live in the Deep South and I sawr it. But it wasn’t nearly as bad as it was from us compared to the old fawkers you heard talk at Easter brunch and elsewhere. I would get up in disgust and leave. As did most our age. The Cosby show became the numbah one sitcom. Michael Jackson was the numbah one artist and Prince was on his way up with Purple Rain. As mentioned before with movie actors, they were climbing to the top. That was forty years ago.
