It pains me to say it, but congratulations Badgers and Badger fans. That was one hell of a game, and one hell of a shot, 12+ minutes into the third OT to end it and send Wisconsin to the Frozen Four.

Their last 3 games have been a disgrace. The shooting fest with St Cloud, and then the 4 - 0 shellaking by Wisconsin last weekend were horrid. They looked just like they did at the beginning of the season - completely void of emotion and expecting to win on their talent alone. The great run that they had was fueled by ton of emotion, and for the last two weeks there was absolutely zero. I was hoping that the embarrasment of last weekend would have spurred them the way being swept by the Badgers earlier in the year did. It was after they lost 2 at home to Wisconsin that they turned the season around. Last night. :puke:

2 years ago one of the most respectd Orthopedic Surgeons in the USA said that I needed - at a minimum - a unicompartmental knee replacement. (To replace th quadrant of my knee where I had Avascular Necrosis and severe cartilege damage. Insurance company disagrees with this pre=eminint surgeon requires him to "investigate conservative treatments." 2 years, 1 career chane, $100,000 in PT, doctors visits, braces, medications etc... I no longer need a unicompartmental knee replacement.... I need a total knee replacement. The insurance company wants me to "get by" until I'm 50. I don't want Britain or Canada's DHS... but shouldn't the doctor's be making the decisions as to what is "medically neccesary?"

I got a very nice new computer a few months back, and have been doing a lot of fooling around with making DVDs from family movies, pictures and slides. It's also got Windows XP Media, and after receiving a phenomenal gift of many CDs from a friend, I am making good use of the sound card, speaker system etc. I still have my 6 year old, white (well originally it was white) 19 inch CRT monitor that takes up half the space on my desk. I haven't a clue as to what to look for in a monitor that would work well with the photography work I do, the logo designs I do at work, and my newfound love of making sappy DVDs from old family photos and tear jerker, sappy 60s and 70s music. (Actually, I made one really good one so far that I used The Brandenburg Concertos and some Fantasia music. It did make my mom cry though.) Apparantly with the XP Media, I can watch TV on it (if I get the tuner) or hook it up to my tv directly... I haven't gotten that far yet, but don't know what I'll want to play with tomorrow. Thoughts? Recommendations?

I'll for sure be there Friday, possibly meeting friends there Saturday as well. (Seeing as the Gophers had to find a way to suck ass last weekend and get to play in freaking ND this weekend.)

I made a DVD for my mom from all our old Super 8 and 8 mm home movies. But when I burn it to a DVD, it won't play in DVD players, only on the computer. Roxio Video Wave 7 is only giving me the option to save it as a .dmsd fi;e, there is no option to save it as an mpeg2 - which is what I've used previously for DVDs made with photos and music... but now that I've converted the video to DVD, combined and edited it into one DVD, it won't frickin work! And... if you go to their "support site" you cannot find an answer to your questions, can't find an email address to send a question to, etc.

That's not what I said. I was responding to Mr T who said, "As long as the government isn't helping them out..." I was simply saying that the gubment HAS helped them out, MULTIPLE times. Whether or not they charge $15 for exit row seats means nothing to me... Hell, I'd probably pay it - if I were to ever fly NWA again... which I'd prefer not to. The mechanics working on those planes were trained in record time to replace the striking mechanics.

The government has helped them out A LOT. Part of their bankruptcy is a shiatload of money that they owe the state of Minnesota. I believe that Minnesota bailed them out at least twice before they screwed up enough to have to do what they're doing with their employees, and the bankruptcy. Of course, their executives who've come and gone in the last few years got multi million dollar going away presents when they quit/retired/got fired.
