  1. With the 2-4 he has posted so far, it looks like he'll be keeping his losing record a while longer.

    fumble loss for orton?

The center blew the snap. Maybe Orton should have caught the ball, but it should not be a fumble on him.
  3. jrbdmb

    GATES?

He went back in for a few plays after the ankle injury ... so hopefully it isn't *that* bad. It is fun to see Norv, A.J. Smith, and SD suck this year.

    GATES?

Norv should be out on the curb after starting 2-4 with a pretty easy schedule. I don't know where the idea started that Norv is a good NFL head coach, but we need to snuff that idea NOW. And GM A.J. Smith is a Grade-A douche - sign VJax already you moron.

    **Official Week 6 F.U. thread.........

FU Tim Tebow. Get off the ###### field and let Orton throw the ball!

    Deshean Jackson

He needed help to walk back to the locker room. No way he gets back on the field today.

So you drafted a kicker high?

My first year ever in FF I payed $68 (out of $1000 budget) for the Colts kicker. I hope that I've learned a bit since then. It's was funny this year in Yahoo auction leagues where owners who didn't show up were getting two kickers before they had even filled their RB / WR starting spots.

Not replacing K or D/ST during a bye week

So if you lose both your QBs after Week 8 due to injury (not uncommon) - you can't make a move, and you'll be called a "sandbagger" and lose a draft pick next year because you roll out a crap 3rd QB or no QB at all? What a douche league.

    Ugh - Devery Henderson

It's amazing how this week Lance Moore is the hot pickup. Next week it will probably be Meachem.

SD GM maybe worse than Millen

And if AJ Smith wants Brandon Marshall compensation for VJax, why is he only willing to pay VJax $500K?

    First offer

Actually people who get all insulted and pissy over an initial trade offer are the issue. Send me a bad offer, no prob - I'll either reject it or counter depending on my mood. But I see too many people who won't consider a trade with someone who "insulted" them in the past. Fer chrissakes, give me a break.

    VJax Watch

Hello, McFly? Vincent Jackson has no contract. His contract ended last year. He chose not to sign the 3.2M restricted free agent offer from SD, who will now only offer him ~$500K to play this season. I'm so f'in tired of the morons on here continuing to say "honor your contract and get back to work." And BTW, the Chargers can null his contract anytime they like and cut VJax anytime they like, so IMHO I have no issue with players like VJax holding out for more money. It isn't like the NFL and the owners are poor.

    VJax Watch

VJax thought he was worth more than the $3.2M or so that San Diego offered as a restricted free agent. Personally I think he should have taken that, but I don't particularly blame him for not doing so. But since the deadline for that tender offer passed in June the Chargers are refusing to pay VJax any more than what they are required to by the league's collective bargaining agreement, which is $543K (per CBS). San Diego has made it clear they have no intention of signing VJax long term, so they *will* lose him eventually. But they continue to refuse trade offers which will get them back more than they would get if VJax just leaves. It really seems like it has gotten personal for GM A. J. Smith, to the detriment of the team. The only question left is if VJax accepts the $543K offer later in the year just to get that year of service time and get out of SD, or if he just sits the entire year out and hopes the new CBA makes him a unrestricted free agent again.

    VJax Watch

Well, Tuesday's about done and no trade. As I've stated repeatedly, this isn't about VJax getting a deal with another team, it is about that team making a deal with San Diego. And it appears that unless they are blown away by a deal the Chargers would rather stick it to VJax and force him to either crawl back to them or sit out the entire year. Not saying a deal is impossible, but I would be surprised. After all, they had the entire training camp to make a deal and chose not to do so.

What percent luck is fantasy football?

Like two years ago when I led my 12-team HTH league in points (and I was well ahead of the 2nd place team) but missed the playoffs. I just hit too many teams on their hot week. Meanwhile this week I had CJ, Jamaal Charles, and Hines Ward put up stinkers - but will still win since my opponent has the low score of the week - but would have lost if he had started Cutler instead of Favre. Perhaps 60% skill - 40% luck for a pure points league, but has to be 30% skill - 70% luck for a HTH league.

if you started out 2-0, get in here..

Week 1 - Thanks Forte and Chris Johnson. No thanks to Kolb and Dwayne Bowe. Week 2 - Thanks to McNabb and Gates. No thanks to Chris Johnson and Hines Ward. Lucky as hell to be 2 - 0, but I'll take it.

    Breesss

Looks like it's time to buy low on Brees.

Apparently drafting Charles was a mistake

One freak win against SD in a monsoon and a win against Cleveland. Let's see how the "TJ #1 RB" train is rolling after games vs. San Francisco, at Indy, and at Houston, and the Chiefs are likely at 2-3.

Apparently drafting Charles was a mistake

For the year so far ... TJ - 32 carries for 121 yards = 3.78 average. 1 catch for 5 yards. Pretty much what was expected for an productive but aging RB. JC - 22 carries for 141 yards = 6.41 average. 2 catches for 35 yards. Pretty much what was expected based on his performance the 2nd half of 2009. Coach is an idiot.
  21. jrbdmb

    Time to drop Ryan Mathews.

Well, depending on his ankle, he may be waiver bait soon. I've picked up Tolbert just in case. Maybe SD can trade VJax to Minny for a RB.

    **Official Week 2 F.U. thread........

FU to the Titans OLine. Negated CJ's only great run of the game, an 85 yard scamper for a TD. That 14 lost points may cost me this week. And of course the rest of the game they sucked.

    Bodyslam

I liked the 3-on-1 Steelers bodyslam on Vince Young. Reminds me when I was a young lad and was in Cleveland to see Terry Bradshaw pile-drived into the dirt.
  24. jrbdmb

Apparently drafting Charles was a mistake

    Fixed that for ya.
  25. jrbdmb

Apparently drafting Charles was a mistake

And KC is now 2-0 ... confirming to Haley that he is doing exactly the right thing, nevermind that the San Diego win was a fluke and Cleveland sucks. Expect this situation to continue.
