The Official "What Counts as Collusion?" thread.
jrbdmb replied to sirensong's topic in FFToday Board
Good post. The only part you glossed over was the traditional punching the traders in the face in front of their families. -
Wrong board. Please post where you are supposed to. And BTW nobody cares about your 4-team league. Because that's the only way you get ADP / Rice / Turner.
-
I saw the thread title, though maybe Charles got a severe case of the shits during the last preseason game. I hope he's OK for Week 1.

Breaston appears to be the undisputed #2 in Arizona, but there's a big Q at QB in Derek Anderson. (This assumes Leinart is done.) Knox has Cutler tossing him the ball and Martz calling the plays, but has competition from Hester and Aromashodu. Who has more sleeper / breakout potential this year?
-
I'd rather have Fitz or Breaston since they won't get penalized for interceptions. But as a QB3, sure he's worth a shot.
-
For $20M they could probably get Favre to retire and un-retire to Arizona. But I'm guessing anyone other than Leinart as QB bumps up Fitz and Breaston's value. Now I wouldn't go as far as to draft Anderson ...

So Mara and the other owners aren't making enough money now with a broken union, no guaranteed contracts, and retired players walking around crippled with no benefits. Plus they may want to look at how "well" lockouts worked for the MLB and NHL. The MLB only recovered when the steroid monsters started breaking home run records, and the NHL is now a fringe sports (or at least more of one than they were before).

And you can bet TTT started to laugh his ass off when Favre started his annual "I won't decide what to do about next year until August" drama.
-
Though I dislike the guy, Favre had an extraordinary season. It's unfortunate that all anyone will remember is that last stupid pick, when ADP should also be getting reamed for coughing up the ball twice (along with Berrrian / Harvin / Favre fumbles). But now we already see what the Vikings and Childress will have to put up with the next seven months - will he or won't he come back? I understand why ESPN continually splooges over Favre - all the drama queen crap makes for great TV - but it's a rotten way to run a football team. Unfortunately the Vikings have no backup plan, so they will likely have to deal with Drama Queen at least for one more year.

FU to every single one of my receivers today: Moss -1 FF points Driver 0 Sims-Walker 0 points Meachem 5 points Winslow 2 points. Bowe 0 points (suspended, you moron) I never had a chance. I hate receivers.
-
I suggest staying away from the Steelers Week 14.
-
After the Vikings game is over, some broad on ESPN says "You know, I don't think we talk about the Vikings enough." She then proceeds to interview Percy Harvin and the first half of the interview is about the god named Favre. I guess when the Vikes get hammered in the playoffs because they've forgotten how to run and Favre goes INT happy, he'll come up with another "injury" to blame his poor performance on.
-
Seems like as soon as they hit the 20 they give up any pretense of trying to run. It will be fun to see Favre play the Saints in the playoffs and see how many picks the Saints get.
-
Right - Ronnie Brown - until he got hurt Thomas Jones - more gas in the tank after all Kellen Winslow - thought he be at least servicable in TB Tom Brady - rounding into form Wrong - LT2 - hoping for one more Top 10 year, not to be Brandon Jacobs - where the beast from last year? Kevin Smith - brutal schedule, maybe not so great Dwayne Bowe - underachieving before the idiot get suspended.
-
If Favre is so great, why did the Packers go 4 - 12 in 2005 and 8 - 8 in 2006?
-
Most of us are not in leagues where we can afford to carry three DEF - in one league with six bench spots I might pick up whoever is playing CLE for a week, but will generally stick with a top DEF over playing crap vs. crap.
-
Caution - dolphins.com is reporting that Williams sprained his wrist rolling a joint before practice today, and is questionable for Thursday's contest with Carolina.
-
Bowe is #24 WR in my 12-team league, solid #3 WR. I call him underachieving as he was expected by CBS and ESPN to be a #13 / #11 WR. But I was lucky to pick up MSW and Driver over the course of the year to cover for this Bowe screw-up.
-
"Performance enhancing drugs?" Too bad they didn't do him any good, the ######'s been underachieving all year. Now I have to decide on Chambers, Donnie Avery, or Meachem as my new #4 WR.
-
Hopefully it's not the dreaded High Ankle Sprain. Not planning on him for Week 11, hopefully he's back in Week 12. And for all the Ricky Williams owners rejoicing now, here's to Ricky spraining his wrist this week rolling a joint and being put on the IR.
-
Main problems with Smith is (1) no passing game and a rookie QB, (2) mediocre line, (3) brutal schedule. On a better team he might make a good RB2.
-
Hey, I hope he still has something in him. But one week doesn't quite reverse a year long trend.
-
I didn't expect Tomlinson to be *the* top RB anymore, but thought that a Top 10 showing was reasonable. Well as of Week 8 he is in fact at #37, despite all attempts by the Charger to force feed him touchdowns. Week 9 totals: 12 carries, 22 yards, no TDs, one red zone carry for -1 yards. So is there any reason to think that LT2 isn't well on his way to being fantasy irrelevant? He probably no better than a RB3, with much risk and little upside.
-
I'm tempted to get McCoy, until I realize that the Eagles have this annoying tendency to go all pass-happy like today (55 passes, 13 runs). Andy Reid just can't lay off the constant passing, just like LenWhale can't avoid tequila and Ricky can't avoid weed. Great for McNabb, no so much for their RBs.
-
Here's to Ricky failing his next drug test and screwing all you vultures waiting for Ronnie Brown to fail.
