Back on topic ... FU to Coughlin, way to screw me by deactivating Jacobs at the last minute. FU to Winslow, another craptacular game. FU to the Green Bay defense, who let Brees and Colston put the final nail in my coffin for the year. And FU to my $$$ league ... 3rd (out of 12) in points, but somehow hitting the worst matchup almost every single week and sitting at 4-7-1 with one week to go. It really sucks when you have more points than four other teams that are getting into the playoffs and three of them had their best week of the year against you.

And G. H. W. Bush has been doing a wonderful jobs of picking our pockets (and our children's pockets) for the past eight years. Get a grip people, the thieves in Washuington D.C. are all the same, regardless of political party.

It is official! The Eagles are now 4th in the NFC East.

Where's PimpDaddy when you need him? -
I'm hoping that Winslow has the balls to put up some good numbers tonight.
-
Worth a shot, but I wouldn't send anything more valuable than Holmes for him. In fact, that seems like a good swap, an underperforming WR for an underperforming TE. You're still overpaying, but not by much. I'm not sure any TE is worth Smith/Mega/Jennings this year.

There is nothing wrong with this trade. Benson is a starting RB and an upgrade from his current RBs, while Witten has been dinged up. Are you just jealous that you didn't offer up your #3 RB for Witten first?
-
And that preek Davis won't pay out the measly $2M that he contractually owes to Lane Kiffin. What an absolute friggin ass.

I've currently got Delhomme as my backup QB (Rodgers is the starter). Do I accept an offer of Campbell for Delhomme? They seem pretty even to me.

The RAT is up to it again, let the Torain era begin!

3 carries, 1 yard. The RAT is up to it again, let the Torain end already ... -
Agreed. I was pissed earlier in the year in my $$$ league where a Favre for Titans DEF trade (not involving me) was vetoed as "too lopsided" by the league - even though both teams had legitimate reasons to do the deal. All because Favre had one hot week and was suddenly considered an elite QB. Stupid move. But then a few years ago one owner was pissed off about something and announced "fire sale - all trade offers accepted." The commish overturned the trades and threw that guy out of the league, but it seems like a few on here would let those trades stand.
-
Just curious, for all the anti-veto people out there - what exactly is "proof of collusion"? Do you actually expect the two traders to admit they are colluding? Find a signed contract? I'd probably let this one slide, but I think from the McNabb owner's response there is enough evidence of something sneaky going on that I would not object if the OP vetoed the trade. As for all of the "never veto" responses, remind me never to join a league where two owners can fix the league with impunity because everyone has a "never ever veto" mindset. Put me in the "when in doubt, don't veto" camp - but to me the "never ever veto" crowd sounds as ridiculous as any of the "should I veto LT2 for TO" threads on here.

Adding to #3 - players have realized (rightly) that the NFL is a business first. They gain no advantage by "toughing it out" and playing through an injury, becauase if they cause further permanent damage that affecs their play they will be kicked to the curb by their team faster than you can say "cripple." They also see how the older NFL warriors are now all hobbled and the NFL doesn't give a shat about them (ex. Earl Campbell). For example, look at Merriman - though they couldn't tell him not to get knee surgery, it sure sounded like San Diego wanted him to play through his injury. If he had and really focked up his knee where he couldn't contribute, the Chargers would have no reservations about cutting him. Sometimes you have to think about yourself and your family rather than trying to gut it out for the team. And BTW - I always find it interesting when FF geeks go around calling 250+ pound NFL players "pussies."
-
Um, if you haven't set it up by now, why bother? The keeper rules you set up may have a huge impact on trades / waiver moves as teams set up for next year. I would get the rules figured out and put them in place for next year's draft.

Paying $200 (out of $1000) for TO, $160 for Palmer, $50 for Winslow, and $70-ish for Santonio in an auction draft. Happy overall with my WW pickups (Chris Johnson and Slaton in particular), but Last week's Josh Morgan pickup was a stinker. And our $$$ league limits add/drops to 10 for the year, so dumb pickups hurt more than usual.
-
I started Monday night down by 21 with Johnson and Bironas vs. Harrison. Passed my opponent with the CJ run, but was holding my breath on that last garbage time Indy drive until the Manning sneak.
-
Do you need an address to send that money to? (I would have made the same bet. That is why FF sucks.)
-
Pull back that trade immediately. You're giving up two studs and don't need the extra depth. This trade will not help you. If you feel you must try to shake things up, trade for a better QB.
-
Think you lost this one. AJohnson is good, but I'd take ADP every time.
-
This is a joke, right? Sit Wayne no play some nobody? I'm sure it wil make your opponent happy.
-
Morgan or Avery? Both are on the WW.
-
Forget end of the year, starting with Week 3 Avery already has better fantasy stats than Holt: Avery - 2 11 7 12 = 32 points since Week 3. Holt - 3 6 2 5 = 16 points since Week 3. I don't think that it's crazy to say that starting Week 6 Avery passed Holt as the Rams #1 receiver.
-
Both trades are fine.

What an absolute jackass. (Winslow, not the above poster.) It is telling that Cleveland's best offensive performance was the week he was riding the bench. Game 1: 47 yds, 1 TD Game 2: 55 yds, 0 TD Game 3: 14 yds, 0 TD Game 4: 54 yds, 0 TD Game 6: no stats, inactive due to mystery illness Game 7: 17 yds, 0 TD Game 8: no stats, inactive due to suspension Avg: 26 yds/game, 1 TD. Premier TE my ass. By far my worst pick of the draft.

Faulk U. to all of you losers who post to a FU thread one-half hour after the start of the 1:00 games. A big steaming Faulk U. to all of you morons who post FUs but add "At least I had SJax and won the week by 50." It's not a true FU if you still won the week. BTW, Faulk U. to the entire Cowboys team, who let SJax run wild against me while getting my #1 WR TO 31 yards and (what a suprise) no TDs.

Here's to Ward tripping over himself during warmups and being a game-time scratch. That might help us BJ owners.
