    Kevin Curtis

That's funny - CBS has Curtis as their "Sit of the Week" for Week 7 - they aren't expecting *any* stats out of him.

Official Best Fantasy Team Ever Thread

That's teams not all that ... look and the powerhouse I put together ... QBs - Rivers, Brees, P. Manning riding the bench till he is hot again RBs - LT2, Gore, ADP, Barber, Forte as my WW pickup WRs - TO, Jennings, Fitz, Wayne, Colston waiting in the wings TEs - Witten, Winslow (OK, I made one bad pick) K - Gostkowski DST - Ravens, Titans (rotate depending on the matchup) I'm telling you, I am going to dominate my 2-team dynasty league for this year and years to come (at least until my 8-year-old son learns to draft better). BTW, any "look how great my FF team is" thread usually deserves to be pummeled mercilessly.

    **Official** Week #6 F.U.s

FU Kellen Winslow. If you had gotten the yards that went to the scrub TEs I would have won. Maybe you should just go to practice rather than slumming around catching STDs and focking your team over. Then again, the week you are out just happens to be the best Browns offensive performance of the year.
  4. Cotchery or Roddy White - who better from here on out? I tend to favor White, who seems to have developed quite a thing with Ryan and is the undisputed #1 WR in Atlanta. But Cotchery isn't a slouch either with Favre slinging the ball around. (Note this is based on a potential trade of one of my extra RBs - either Earnest Graham or Steve Slaton - for one of these two WRs. This would leave me with Brandon Jacobs / Chris Johnson / one of the above to fill two RB slots and TO / Driver / Santonio / Lance Moore / one of the above WRs to fill three WR slots. I'm leaning towards sending Graham due to the name recognition factor, though I think that Slaton will be as good as if not better than Graham the rest of the year. Feel free to flame me on this trade if you wish. )

    IS THIS A GOOD TRADE?

I don't get it. Bowe is at best equal to Cotchery esp. considering the QB situation, and Heap is a bum so far this year. Why would you do this trade?
  6. Well, I'm having a hard time getting the the owner to give me Roddy White. I was about to say I'll take Cotchery after all, but on second thought with Santonio / Driver / Kevin Curtis (new WW pickup) I already have plenty of #2/#3 WRs, Cotchery now feels like another #2/#3, I deal Graham for a real #1/#2 receiver or just keep him in my RB stable.

    Outlook On Chris Johnson

I will admit that Mendenhall and Ray Rice (remember him?) were drafted, but that's about it.

    -

+1 A few years ago I was in a league that awarded individual points for return TDs and yards. Picked up Wes Welker (in Miami at the time) and ended up with a top-3 WR based almost solely on kick punt and kickoff returns. It was a pretty stupid league.

    Outlook On Chris Johnson

I'm not too shocked that CJ went that cheap. In my money league, the owners have all been in the league for a five+ years with little turnover. There is apparently a disdain for rookies of any sort, even rookie RBs. This is probably why I was able to pick up both CJ and Slaton off the WW in the early part of the season. Even last week I attempted to shop CJ around for a WR and the best offers I got were a still-injured Deion Branch and Marvin Harrison. That's OK, I'll keep him for myself.

    Aaron Rodgers

I'm a Pitt homer, but sorry Rodgers-Johnson for Big Ben is a bad trade. Based on my league's scoring (pretty standard except for 6 QB points for a TD), you traded the #2 QB and the #12 RB for the #13 QB. And the way Ben is getting knocked around, his injury risk is just as high as Rodgers. And with Rodgers at 111 points and Ben at 69 points, Ben had better get his ass in gear if he wants to meet your projection of passing Rodgers. This is in large part due to Green Bay having no running game and no defense this year, and it doesn't mean I'd take Rodgers over Ben for a real football team, but for fantasy purposes Rodgers looks like a better bet.

    Scheffler likely out Week 6

Oh good, some idiot in one of my leagues will now drop him and I will fianlly get a good TE for Week 7 and beyond. Picked up Colston and Dallas Clark in another league because of impatient owners.

***Official*** What Do You Need On MNF?

Money league, down by 15 with Lance Moore vs. nobody. Will he go 90 yds + a TD? It's possible. Free league, down by 10 with Moore (my team) vs. ADP (opponent). Not quite so possible.

    Official Week #5 F.U. thread

And some of us have lives outside FF and can't always be in front of a monitor at Noon Sunday. In those cases it's always fun to get blindsided like what happenned to Schaub owners this week, or palmer owners last week. And BTW, FU to Gruden - I'm not so pissed that you split carries between Dunn and Graham as I am that you gave up on the run altogether (21 carries total) against a Broncos run defense that has been torched multiple times. Only Gruden could make the 30th ranked defense suddenly look competent.
  14. jrbdmb

    Ernest Graham, anyone watching?

Rushing: W. Dunn 11 for 74, longest 38. E. Graham 10 for 59, longest 14. Given the above, why didn't Gruden run it more? It isn't like Denver shut down either back. It doesn't annoy me as much that Dunn got more carries as it does that Gruden gave up on the run against a team known to have a piss-poor run defense. And it wasn't like they had to come from way behind.

    steve slaton/ahman green

100-ish yards and 2 TDs works OK for me, esp. for a WW pickup.

Biggest FF bust at 1/4 mark

Yup. Can't vote for this poll if Palmer, Moss, Vince Young, and Derek Anderson aren't included. (Edit - add Maroney, Andre Johnson, Galloway, and Stinko to the list as well.) And though injuries aren't the same thing as suckitude, don't forget how Brady and Colston owners got shafted.

    Deion Branch Looking "explosive"

He paid the extra $$$ this winter to have bionic ligaments put in. He'll be able run get down the field faster than Usain Bolt, and be a fantasy superstar the rest of the deason.

I am in a league that just vetoes trades

How can Team A propose a trade, and then have a vote to veto the same trade? If you are going to give owners veto power at all, the players in trade should not have a vote (none of this "buyers remorse" BS) and at least half the owners should have to vote No. And after reading some of the threads on here I am leaning towards the "never veto" camp.

    DEUCE ...

Things change. Not sayin Deuce is totally done, but picking him up for what he did two years ago is not smart. You might as well pick up Shaun Alexander, Marvin Harrison, and Daunte Culpeper while you're at it.

    Carson Palmer's value

I drafted Palmer in my money league, and thank the stars that I was dumb enough to also get Aaron Rodgers even thought they had the same Bye week at the time. (It is an auction draft and Rodgers was nominated before Palmer.) But I would not pay much if anything for Palmer until I knew that his elbow issue was not a potential season-ender. Too much risk currently for Palmer to be anything more than a WW pickup.

    Am I Just Paranoid...

Veto the trade, and let the offenders know they are not welcome back next year. That is one of the more obvious case of collusion I've seen on these boards. (Now let's wait for the inevitable "never ever veto a trade, you poosays" replys.)

    Who's 4-0

12 team PPR redraft league ... I should rename my team the Lucky Bastards because I am undefeated at 4-0 while 6th in points scored. But considering I lost Brady in Week 1 I can deal with that. QB: Warner, Kitna RB: MJD, LenDale White, Slaton WR: Plaxico, Santonio, Bernard Berrian, Lance Moore, and Colston waiting in the wings TE: Dallas Clark K: Akers DEF: Ravens
  23. jrbdmb

    What's Colston's Stock Right Now?

Blah blah blah. It depends on your team. In my two Yahoo leagues I have Colston - one where I drafted him and one a PPR league where I picked him up off the WW after the injury. Even with only 4 bench sports in the PPR league I have been able to keep him stashed while not hurting the rest of my team. (Note - 4 and 0 in the PPR league so far even after losing Brady in Week 1, 3 and 1 in the standard league.) If you can cover for a stud like Colston, do it. Sell if you have to, but realize you will probably not get fair value for him.
  24. jrbdmb

    New Orleans WR

Who's to say that Moore isn't now established as the #2 when Colston gets back? He won't be putting up 20+ points again, but he could be a nice #3 WR or fill-in the rest of the year.

    Week 4 Official F.u. Handouts.....

A big FU to the Arizona Cards defense ... the Arizona Wildcats (heck, even Northern Arizona) would have done a better jobs keeping Favre contained. 6 TDs? Most of them totally blown coverages? I just have to keep in mind the Cards suck, they always have sucked, they always will suck. BTW, a big stinking FU to Edge James. No TDs for three weeks, then I drop you and you get two TDs? Crap. At least I picked up Slaton for your sorry ass. Oh, and a retroactive FU to TO - thanks in part to your disappearing act Week 3 I tied my opponent 86 - 86. Do you have any idea how much a fantasy football tie sucks?
