Carson Looks like the lead back

Well a crap RB (or an RB behind a crap line) is still crap. Sounds like Carson is a low-end flex or bye week fill in. But to someone like me who drafted Lacy, Carson is waiver wire gold.

    Andrew Luck

At this point Luck is a lottery pick. He is available in my main league but nobody has touched him, as we have a short bench and all the Bye weeks still to cover. If we had more bench spots I'd stash him just in case.
  3. In my main 10 team league, I'm currently at #2 in waiver priority, which never resets. So once I use the #2 priority (or soon the #1 priority) I'll get moved down to #10, and probably not get near the top again until late in the season. Given these rules, when would you blow your #2 or #1 priority? Is a mid-tier WR (Garcon, Amendola, Thielen) worth it? Is a potential RBBC (Williams, Cohen, Carson) worth it? When do you decide to pul the trigger?

    Postponed Game Question

Our league has voted to award every team a W for Week 1, since it would be unfair to give anyone an L given the circumstances. The participation trophies for Week 1 are on order and will be distributed shortly.

When do you blow your top waiver priority?

It's a rolling system. Most players are smart enough not to use a waiver move on Wednesday morning for a spare DST or TE or 5th RB, so it can take a while to move up from the bottom back to the top. (After waivers run you can pick up whoever you want without affecting your priority.)

    RB values.......

DJ may be a great RB to have in the playoffs, but you have to get to the playoffs first. Selling Gurley seems to put that in jeopardy.

Buy Low and Sell High after Week 1?

Because many of us think you just saw their best game of the season. Ditto for Bradford, A. Smith, and anyone who thinks Hunt will put up 40 points every week.

Josh Gordon is he coming back?

This story ranks up there with "Elvis is alive, because i saw him last week at a gas station in Toledo, Ohio."

    FU Week 1 (Irma edition)

I traded Wilson for Red Rocket so I could upgrade my WR to Amari Cooper. No big deal, I thought. I've already got Ryan, so I really need Dalton for one week. God, at this point I'd be better dropping Dalton for Luck and taking a zero in Week 5.

Josh Gordon is he coming back?

So if he served his year, didn't fail another test, and just decided to check himself into rehab - why does he need to be reinstated? Doesn't the additional year out of the league tell us that he did something wrong in September 2016?

Sam Darnold - QB - USC

Yes, show your fans that you want to win - again (Tim Couch) and again (Brady Quinn) and again (Charlie Frye) and again (Colt McCoy) and again (Brandon Weeden) and again (Johnny Football).

First round PPR next year. 12 team.

Agreed. You got a deal on him this year, but next year he will be overdrafted. OTOH, if Gurley falls to me at the end of Round 1 I'd be all over that.
  13. Sounds like my league. 12 team league, QBs passing TDs are worth 6. My totally mediocre team got in as the #4 seed at 7-6. I beat the #5 seed Wk 14 when his QB Brees had the zero-TD stinker at TB. Wk 15 I beat the #2 seed when his QB Rodgers has no TDs at Chicago; if Devante Adams holds onto one of those TD passes, I lose. (The #6 beat the #1 in the other semi, and I would have lost to either of them that week.) Finally, Wk 16 I win the title when the #6 seed had his QB Stafford score one TD (rushing). On the flip side, a few years ago I had the highest point total in the league and didn't even make the playoffs. It felt like I played the high score of the week every game that year. And in my other 10-team league this year, my #1 seed loses to the #4 in the semis when he put up his highest point total of the year. So yeah, skill helps but luck trumps all. The only good thing is that the luck can fall both ways.

Does anyone win with RB's anymore?

12 team redraft league, auction draft got me Jeremy Hill, Thomas Rawls, Duke Johnson (my big $$$ was spent on Antonio, Olsen, and Luck). Dropped Rawls after his injury, eventually picked up Jon Stewart and traded for Doug Martin. Overall my RBs were shat all year, at the end of the regular season I was 11th out of 12 in rushing and squeaked into the playoffs at 7-6. Then I got lucky as hell, got three opponents who underachieved, and won out to win the title. So you can win without RBs, but it sure would have been easier with Bell or Shady on my team.

Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys: In-Game Discussion

Worked for me. Championship locked up with that Stafford fumble.

I see Jerruh kept the starters in for you.

And Cowboys came to ??? Not sure what, but it sure isn't to play, at least on DEF.

Great run by Zenner. And way to keep the stats down for Stafford. (I win my championship unless Stafford goes nuts tonight.)
  19. That last-second TD to Antonio could with me my championship. Now I just need to make hope at Stafford doesn't have a hugely great game. Merry Merry.

    Kirk Cousins, I'm sorry.

I'd say most everybody playing Cousins got knocked out last week with his putrid Monday night performance.

    FU Thread. Championship Edition

FU Luck ... even a gunslinger has to complete a pass every once in a while not just throw interceptions. These endless picks are getting really tiring. Stop it you loser.

    FU Thread. Championship Edition

. Just to follow up: Rivers still sucks, perhaps worse than ever. Can't even complete a half decent pass against Cleveland. Clown show. BTW, FU to Doug Martin and his healthy scratch. Not that my other RBs. And FU and "your FIRED" to Chargers K Josh Lambo, misses *two* chip shots to send the game with Cleveland to overtime.
  23. Cousins is going to single-handedly end my season, that incompetent POS.
  24. That was an awfully close call, but most other QBs in the league get the flag for that play. Cam got jobbed.
  25. Very strange how they showed Cam grimacing during warmups, and then Ron saying Cam was fine, no issues, blah blah blah. Definitely could be a problem there.
