Update - Rashee Rice: Dallas Accident

Easy Matlock. I said Rice might face a suspension of employment. Not his legal due process. Regardless - Not drafting him, don't want him, don't care about his court case, NFL status, or if Goodell screws his wife.

    Ignore List

Certainly to land on mine.... been here 25 years - only 1 poster on ignore. Won't dignify him by name because he's still here... but yeah, insufferable. Couldn't take it any longer.
  3. My 12 Team Flex PPR draft is tomorrow. Already know my position - 6th, but wouldn't have mattered. Early, mid, late same strategy. Wr heavy - it's ppr and Wr's are much more predictable/reliable than Rbs. I'll let others feel the pain of their 1st and 2nd round Rbs ripping up knees in the first few weeks, or just not playing up to expectation. 1, 2, 3 .... Wr, Wr, Wr (for me - Jefferson, Olave, London or something similar) 4, 5, 6 ... Rb, Rb, Rb (for me - Walker, Stevenson, Jones, Z. White, Harris or something similar) 7 ... Te (Engram, Pitts, Kittle, Ferguson - one of them is ALWAYS there in mocks) 8 ... Rb (last starters left: Mostert, Singletary, Moss) 9 ... Qb - Only one guy I want here - Tua. Another year with McDaniel, healthy Achane, new Te athletic freak Jonu Smith, offensive drafted weapons, and Mostert probably doesn't vulture the obscene amount of Tds. I expect at LEAST 35 Tds from Tua this year, and possibly 40+, along with all those beautiful yards. Tua is being drastically under-valued because only 29 Tds last year, but in several games he only played the first half (score out of hand) and Mostert's ridiculous 18 rushing Tds. In spite of limited playing time, he still led the league in passing yards. Get a backup Qb in rounds 10 or 11... Cousins or Goff Good luck to both of us.

NHL Star Johnny Gaudreau killed in accident.

Sad, but ever pass bikers on the side of the road and think 'they have WAY more faith in humanity than I do.' Drunk drivers, Stoned drivers, texting drivers, teenage drivers, idiot drivers, bad drivers, etc. You're willing to risk your life and health hoping strangers don't do stupid stuff? Seriously? Well then good luck to ya. I tell my teenage daughter - ALWAYS ride on the sidewalk. I don't care what the law says. If there's no sidewalk, then you don't ride your bike there. Riding on the side of the road is pure Russian Roulette.

Update - Rashee Rice: Dallas Accident

Ah yes, now I see... If Rice is charged and a grand jury decides NOT to INDICT him (which means NO CRIMINAL charges), then he might get suspended like Watson did. Or if Rice is charged and found guilty, then he also gets suspended. So basically, he gets suspended either way. Which is why the "must wait for due process" clause doesn't make much sense. You see what you're missing right?

Update - Rashee Rice: Dallas Accident

I clearly don't care as much about this as you do, but for the sake of argument... Watson had no criminal charges, but civil lawsuits pending.... so he was suspended. Rice has not yet been criminally charged, but has a civil lawsuit pending. And the difference is... ? One's a sexual lawsuit and the other isn't.?. I don't see where you're going with this.

Update - Rashee Rice: Dallas Accident

Many lawsuits were still pending when he was suspended. Don't know how many, if any, were settled before the suspension.

Ludacris couldn't spell the word "predictions."

Update - Rashee Rice: Dallas Accident

That's a legal standard, not an employer standard. Rice would be suspended by many employers, prior to any court decision. Even non-communist employers. The NFL waffles on it. Deshaun Watson was suspended 11 games, yet never convicted of any crime.

    Christian Josiah Olave

'22) 15 gm, 72 rec, 119 tar, 1,042 yds, 4 Td '23) 16 gm, 87 rec, 138 tar, 1,123 yds, 5 Td Cons - hasn't proven much so far. Derek Carr is the most mediocre Qb of all-time. Kamara eats too many targets. Pros - possible 3rd year breakout for former 1st rd pick. Another year of chemistry with Carr. Saints have new o-coordinator (Viking's coordinator in '21 when Jefferson blew up with 167 targets). Tid-bits - Michael Thomas gone (64 tar) and Kamara's metrics were awful - might mean fewer touches with new coordinator. Volume is king and Olave is probably looking at 150+ targets. Whether Carr can deliver is another story. So, it's mid to late 2nd rd and you're looking for a Wr - ya see Olave. Who's interested?

    Last Pick of the Draft

ok... kicker is your last pick. Your Non-kicker/defense Last Pick of the Draft. Pick No. 226 Kimani Vidal - Chargers no. 3 Rb. 6th rd pick out of Troy. Workhorse who graded as the best pass-blocking back out of college. That alone might get him on the field just for the passing work... and if plodding Edwards and/or Achilles Dobbins don't live up to Harbaugh's expectations... might be seeing a lot of Vidal by the end of the year. Who yall got?

    Dalvin Cook Now a Cowboy

Could be? Zeke is burnt toast. Going in 8th / 9th rounds... could fall to rd 16 and I'm still not interested. And that was before Cook signing. Nothing good can come of it. Roster clogging and disappointment...
  14. That's insane. Corum's stock certainly increases.

    Rams 2.0?

Um... no. Stafford has taken a beating during his NFL career. In recent years he's either injured going into the season - elbow tendinitis, or gets hurt during the season - spinal chord bruise in '22 and sprained thumb last year. And now he's already a little sore getting pulled from practice last week due to hamstring tightness. Even in the games he played last year Stafford was just ok...15 games and 3,900 yds and 24 Tds... a far cry from his Superbowl year of 4,900 yds and 41 Tds. The end is nigh. Scares me out of Puca and Kupp.

    Notable Cuts

Dang, I did not foresee them cutting Foreman. I figured they signed him to help with work-horse duty, since Ford struggled with that role last year. He had a rib-injury in pre-season... maybe that had something to do with it?

    JJ vs AJ Brown

My rankings are bit different than mainstream. 1) Hill 2) JJ 3) Chase 4) Lamb 5) Wilson 6) St. Brown 7) AJ 8)) Puca I'll be getting JJ with the 6th pick - no doubt, thanks to all the "Darnold sucks" mongering. Easily gets 180+ targets with Hockenson out. JJ was qb-proof last year, and that was without an entire off-season to get on page. Don't think Darnold will be a pro-bowler, but I expect he makes a lot of people look foolish for dismissing him so quickly.

    Last Pick of the Draft

Between Davis and Allen... there's a chance Cook ends with another 2 pathetic rushing Tds.

    Last Pick of the Draft

I'm coming around on Wilson. Should easily outperform adp. As a Gator fan, I know how great Pearsall is. Dude made some amazing catches. If Aiyuk had left, he'd be in a great spot. But the target competition in San Fran is gonna make it tough.

    2024 Bold Predictions

When Bo Nix played for Auburn, I thought he looked good. Then of course he transfers to Oregon, which was odd because usually players leave a small school for a bigger one or they aren't getting playing time. Nix was the starter and Auburn is big SEC school, but the team wasn't great, so it's as if Nix fired them. In any case, at Oregon the team did really well so when he got drafted I assumed the scouts would love him... wrong. Scouts hate him saying all he does is short dump offs and any time he has to go to his second read he gets easily flummoxed. Shows what I know. But now it makes perfect sense why Denver took him. Nobody likes short dump offs more than Sean Payton. McLaughlin might the main benefactor. As for Nix finishing top 10... quite bold.

    Zero Rb strategists unite!

Blasphemy! Have faith my son - Zero Rb will lead you to the promise land. Interestingly, only 1 out of the top 5 Rbs last year actually finished top ten (McCaff). 4 out of the top 5 Wrs finished top ten (Jefferson odd man out). Not true every year, but it's rare for more top Rbs to do it than Wrs. Injury and under performance wreak havoc.

    2024 Bold Predictions

Fodder? 3 of 4 player predictions ain't bad. Pickens was Wr 35 last year, while everyone was talking about "the 150+ targets Johnson was supposed to get." I wasn't falling for that bs. And yes, Howell... Qb 29 with a top 15 finish is a winnah. Nevermind where he is now... whole Redskins regime got canned. Love to hear your bold prediction this year of a Qb 29 or lower who'll finish top 15. Still surprised how wrong I was about Herbert - breaking the all-time record was pushing it, but I really thought he'd break 5,000. But only on pace for 4,100. Oh well. This year, I'm going 10 for 10.

    2024 Bold Predictions

2023 Bold Predictions Raiders & Bucs finish with a combined total of 7 wins. Ya don’t sign Garoppolo and Mayfield unless you’re serious about full tank mode. - Totally missed the boat. Bucs made playoffs and Raiders had 8 wins. Nico Collins (Wr 53) finishes top 25. Cooks left town and 3rd year Collins steps up with a massively upgraded team. Nico finished Wr 18. Nailed it! Justin Herbert will break Manning’s single season passing record of 5,477 yds. After playing with broken ribs, bruised sternum and torn labrum (still passing 4,700+) Herbert is finally healthy. The old dink and dunk OC is gone replaced by high-flying Kellen Moore. - Herbert played 13 games for 3,134 yds... not even close. George Pickens scores more fantasy points than Dionte Johnson. Though both unreliable due to pathetic Qb. Diontae just isn’t a #1 Wr. Pickens finished Wr 22, Johnson Wr 50. Nailed it! Sam Howell (Qb 29) finishes top 15. Josh-Allen-Lite is flying under everyone’s radar, but won’t be after this year. Howell finished Qb 11. Nailed it! Miami Dolphins replicate ’72 Dolphins by going undefeated. 2023 is forever known as Year of the Fish. Undefeated was a bit much, but 11-6 was damn good. Partial credit.

    2024 Bold Predictions

Quite bold. Even if he doesn't, I do feel like Wilson is being over-looked with all the Harrison and McBride hype. I'd feel better about Wilson if Murray was a more prolific passer. Five years in the league and never reached 4,000 yds? That's shameful in the modern day pass-friendly NFL.
