Something about the way Rodgers "left calf trembled" ... I guess that can be indicative of an Achilles.?. Don't know.
-
Twitter doctors (for what that's worth) speculate Rodgers might've suffered Achilles.
-
They blitzing Rodgers every play. ETA - except that last play he got injured. They didn't have to blitz. O-line let 'em through.

I love my dead gay Hull.

The high water mark for Rbs going on to have much a career after an achilles.... Donte Foreman, which isn't good. Cam Akers might take over that spot, but that remains to be seen. Sadly, it's time to say goodbye to Dobbins. Great athlete who's NFL career was cut short.

Oh dang. I thought it was another torn ACL... not the grim reaper Achilles. Oof.

Week 001: Random Thoughts/Opinions/Questions

Not a fan either. Comes across very full of himself. He quit the Saint right before they were $100 mil over the salary cap. He created the mess, but wouldn't lose face owning it. Instead he played the "need to spend time focusing on health and kids" card. Then immediately signed with Fox as an analyst. -
Raiders win didn't surprise me as much... Denver has new coach, new system, and issues on both sides of the ball. Bucs winning was surprising because I didn't think they could keep up with Vikings offense. Cousins 3 turnovers made sure they did. But my prediction stands!

Browns have had Burrow's number (1-5 record now), and they have a good defense. That still doesn't explain everything. Either lack of practice, the calf strain, or just a fluky bad game. Probably ain't practice given Burrow's history and the team is mostly unchanged. That means... fluky bad game hopes every Burrow owner. Burrow was 2nd favorite to win MVP. 82 yds passing.

Week 001: Random Thoughts/Opinions/Questions
GobbleDog replied to easilyscan's topic in FFToday Board
How do you lose 40-0 (at home) when the opposing Qb throws 143 yds and scores 0 Tds? The Giants know how! You have to be unbelievably bad in every facet of the game. That ain't getting fixed over-night. -
Not a back seat, but it'll hurt Mostert's fantasy production. Jeff Wilson is our "bowling ball" ... power back getting goal line and short yardage work. Mostert will still get receptions and rotational carries, but Wilson would lower his Tds.

I won't draft a backup just for the sake of having a handcuff, unless I actually believe in the guy. I've done that (Chuba the bum) - even when he got the job, he stunk and nobody was surprised - including me. But with Ford I think he has skills. Started college at Alabama but couldn't get on the field (no shame there), transfers to Cinci and breaks all kinds of rushing records. Played rookie year with Browns, but buried on depth chart behind Hunt and others. Though he was special teams returner, and coaches give that job to guys with good hands (can catch). Then Browns let Hunt walk indicating their faith in Ford. Considering all that, along with Browns o-line and run-first mentality, felt like a worthy handcuff.

I also wanted Charbo rather than Roschon, but he got snatched up. Think you may have hit the jackpot on that one.
-
Holy crap. That's insane. Now I'm really rooting for this kid.
-
I know, but I think pipeman mistakenly thought you meant Gibbs.
-
Something ain't adding up. We talking about the same player - Bijan Robinson - Falcons 1st round pick this year, 8th overall? Consistently drafted 1st or 2nd round... usually 1st. I think it's too early, but that's his adp. ETA - clearly you must've confused the poster's quote and are referring to Gibbs adp.
-
I hear very good things about this kid. Might get more work than some expect this year as Titans reduce Henry's massive workload and also see what they've got in their 3rd rd pick.
-
When Tank finishes with more fantasy points than Etienne, you'll change your tune. I'm not joking, think there's a very good chance that happens.
-
9) Tank Bigsby 10) Roschon Johnson 11) Ty Chandler 12) Evan Hull 13) Jerome Ford (handcuff my big Chubby) 14) Rashid Shaheed
-
Probably hurt... fewer extended drives and goal line situations.
-
He did and Kittle is a good Te. Just think Waller could provide a bit more consistency and upside, due to situation.
-
D Waller ... now questionable, seriously, already ?
GobbleDog replied to JT88-3013's topic in FFToday Board
I have no problem with my league requiring a Te... there's plenty of strategy who and when to draft one. But I wish my league would agree to dump the Kicker and Defense, where there's very little strategy. There's already enough luck in ff. Why add more unnecessary dumb luck? -
I'd definitely trade Kittle for Waller. Kittle has a habit of disappearing for chunks of the season. Niners are a run-first team led by Brock Purdy (jury still out) - and Ayuik should take a step forward this year getting more targets, I'd expect Kittle's disappearing acts to continue. Waller should be more consistent. When ya need points most at the end of the season to make the playoffs or move on to next round, ya want the most reliable player. That's Waller. Of course, that takes on Waller's hammy issues, which is the downside - but the only reason you're getting the offer. I'd assume that risk for the upside.

Everyone knew there was some extra risk with Waller, but Week 1 .?. Jeesh. Makes ya wonder if he's gonna be questionable all season.
