Seems to have a wide variance... seen mocks where Sanders goes 2, 3 or 4, seen mocks going late 1st. If I were betting, I'd pick early as well.

Got a small wager on the Steelers drafting a Qb first (+170). Seems Rodgers ain't signing and look at their depth chart... Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson. It'd be criminal to let Sanders, Dart or Milroe slip by. As for my Dolphins, per the GM: "Jalen Ramsay has NOT asked for a trade, but we are fielding offers..." Translation - Jaylen Ramsay has demanded a trade because the team is a joke and now we're desperate for a new CB. Yeah, we'll be drafting a CB and trading Ramsay for peanuts because everyone knows the situation. go fish

2025 NFL Draft Profile - WR Tetairoa McMillan
GobbleDog replied to Mike FF Today's topic in FFToday Board
Supposedly the amount of Rb talent in this class is ridiculous. Some "experts" have speculated that a few of the lower rated Rb's might've done better to go pro last year when the position wasn't so deep. In any case, Dallas is definitely drafting a Rb - just a matter of which round. And apparently, they can wait. -
True. I didn't buy the Anthony Richardson hype after watching him play for my Gators. I was surprised he even went pro that year, let alone 4th overall. That was bananas. To be honest I watched way more of Sanders than I did of Ward this year, so maybe the scouts are right on this one, but to my eyes Sanders looked incredible despite a terrible o-line.

Who knows which direction PIT goes with Qb, but regardless I don't see much upside with either Metcalf or Pickens.... between the weak Qb play, rushing focus, and now with two of them in the fold. Might work football wise, but fantasy wise - where's the beef?
-
Entitled -vs- Confident I still think Sanders will be more successful than Ward. We shall see... I'll bump this in 3 years and have your plate of crow ready for ya.
-
Only 17 players were invited to the draft this year... Jalen Milroe was one of them. There's speculation some team out there is strongly interested in Milroe. I've heard Steelers or possibly Rams... ? Whoever it is, it sounds like he might go higher than most anticipate.

Don't mind when posters disagree, as long as they intelligently discuss topics. I never blocked anyone for the first 20 years, but in recent years I grew tired of childish/moronic posts from the same certain posters. Currently up to 5. Won't mention names. -
Like all good Southerners I was raised a God-fear'n-Presbateer'n, though I'm not religious nowadays. Still appreciate Wee condemning all you heathens to hell. Happy bunny rabbits.

Five people are dead and four others are injured during and “active shooter’ event at FSU.

Of course. Happens in Europe occasionally despite strict gun restriction laws. But their odds of being gun violence victims are tremendously lower than Americans. -
Sports and NPR. Switch to "pop radio" when daughter gets in. Podcasts on long trips.

It's sad when people opposed to guns get shot. They're completely innocent. It's also sad when people who support gun rights get shot, but there's a whole lot of irony mixed in. "Yay guns! Ah crap." yep -

Upholding the law makes them "activists" ? Or only when it involves Trump? -
Golf once a year with buds. My all-time World Record... 122. Would be worse without the double-par rule. I look like a golfer - clean cut middle-aged white guy, but I stink. I've watched Youtube vids, drank alcohol... nothing helps. I think part of the problem is I don't cheat - it goes 1 inch, I count it. If only the hole size was increased to about a 10 gallon bucket, I might break 100.

My goal and purpose is to help raise the vibration of Earth
GobbleDog replied to Frozenbeernuts's topic in The Geek Club
I can respect that argument, but only if it includes EVERY conscious being in the universe, from bacteria to worms to people. Heck, there's debate whether plants have a differentiated form of consciousness as some intersect with the environment and other plants in various ways. Once you include every life form in the discussion as having equal status, it makes the human consciousness seem rather meaningless. And if they aren't included, then it sounds like a throw back to old style religion - God made Man, and Universe revolves around Earth type stuff. -

This is where religions lose me. Consciousness/soul (after you die and lack consciousness) seems to be an emphasis in the religious world. Understandable people are drawn to that - nobody wants to not exist, even after death. They didn't have a problem with it before they were born, but I digress. That rationale seems too specific. What makes me... me? Cut off my arms, legs, heck remove everything but my brain and keep it alive with tubes. But the brain is comprised of trillions of atoms and requires oxygen and nutrition molecules to stay alive, all of which came from the universe. When my corpse rots or is cremated... those atoms will continue to interact with the universe for all eternity - just as they did before I was born. This line of thinking leads me to consider the universe as one being. I don't put much stock in consciousness, hell even insects have consciousness. Regardless, I appreciate the philosophical discussion. -

Seems more reasonable than supernatural (and contradictory) stories found in other religions. Buddhism and Hindu are branches of the same tree, though I don't know the differences or history. Hate to admit I'm not actually into Buddhism - sounds like you know way more than me. Someone once pointed out to me that my beliefs just happen to align. I also share their idea of desire being the root of suffering - I understand the logic. Buddhism gets a little weird (to me) about reincarnation theories being reborn into various realms of existence depending on karma. I can go along with reincarnation of the next being to gain conciseness. Once your conciseness ceases to exist, who's to say it isn't you. Beyond that, they lose me. -
Laughing at Blue Origin All female Crew
GobbleDog replied to Engorgeous George's topic in The Geek Club
Sounds similar to The Titan submersible which imploded near the Titanic in '23. Apparently a legal loophole allowed the sub to carry "crew", as carrying tourists/passengers would entail much stricter sub testing. Maybe this stunt played the same legal game. -

A Geek thread without political arguments - refreshing. My beliefs apparently align with Buddhism seeing the universe as one being with everything in it eternally connected. Seems logical with no faith or supernatural required. Most religions focus on individual conciseness... too myopic IMO. -

Which side do you blame and what's the reasoning? Putin said he invaded Ukraine in order to "denazify" the country. You going with that?

News conference earlier today at the White House: Journalist - "Will you agree to Zelensky's offer to purchase Patriot missiles?" Trump - "I don't know - he's always looking to purchase missiles. Listen, when you start a war you gotta know you can win. You don't start a war against somebody twenty times your size and then hope that people give you some missiles." Ukraine invaded Russia.?. Still touting Russian propaganda... unbelievable.

Not only promised to end it in 24 hours over and over again, he occasionally said "MARK MY WORDS" before boldly claiming it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago when he said.. "I was being sarcastic." Mark my words was sarcasm? Why not reply "unfortunately it didn't happen" or "I misspoke" and just admit a mistake.?. Instead Trump went with another lie on top of the first lie.
