Dan Sez 0 Posted February 16, 2005 I've been lazy, and distracted. Actually I have been working on some kind of permanent spreadsheet to keep up with it. The points list from the June/August draft show the points for the players that cost more than 1 point - anyone else is just 1 point. Too much work, too many other demands, too much on my mind. I am sorry I haven't been a better dad... Anyway, most of the important point players have already been listed in other threads. I will try and get it all straightened out in the next couple of weeks with the home-brew list. (am I repeating myself - I feel like a hamster running the loop) (Did I just say that? Dan Sez 0 Posted February 16, 2005 Brady's 3 points do not count towards my 21. He is my "Franchise" and as such, I don't have to pay his salary out of the general fund (21pts). That does not stop his salary from increasing. So that if I trade Tom before next season, then whomever has to either pay 4 pts to keep him -or- cut/trade their 2005 Franchise player and put that tag on Brady. Thanks for asking. Dan Sez 0 Posted February 16, 2005 "The Franchise" is a specialized concept that allows you to retain a player for as long as you wish without having to deal with his escallating salary. Pick wisely. After you have an established "Franchise", they become very jealous of that tag, you can not switch it off between players. If a player gains that tag, you must cut or trade him to apply it to another. Jealous bastages. ahahha In a season where you do not have a pre-designated "Franchise" (like this year) you could change the "Franchise" tag between March 28th and April 4th. But once the Final Salary Cut is made and you have been allowed not to pay that salary out of the general fund (this year's 21 points) then you must ALWAYS keep that "Franchise" tag on the same player in all subsequent Salary Cut rounds (1st or 2nd cut) as long as he is on your roster.
