Man are you guys focked.

;) That means an 8-2 finish!! :headbanger:

I might as well send you all my mailing address so you can just save Ralph the trouble every year.  Try again in 2011.

Hey, it's his words, not mine. He was supposed to have an awesome team this year, and so far he's underperformed. He tries to compare his team to everyone else in the league and chalks it up to bad luck. Luck is a cyclical thing, so he must predict that, if his team is to perform to his high expectations, that he will wind up with at least an 8-5 record this year.

He can't just write off the first three games of the season, as much as he would like to. They must be factored into any wager he makes.

Like I said, nothing but empty trash talk that you're unwilling to back up.  So until you want to put some money where your mouth is, like I am more than willing to do...

Then lets make this about YOUR team and not mine, shall we?

I'll bet $50 you that, for the rest of the season, you will not wind up with a regular season record that is 8-5 or better.

7-6 is MEDIOCRE, at best, so if you wind up at 7-6 (or worse) then we are NOT focked (like you originally indicated). And then you have to SUCK IT UP and admit that you were, as usual, highly highly overestimating your team's capabilities.

So put your money where your mouth is, DrJ....let's make you accountable for your predictions.

When did I project 8-5 for my team, or a title in 2005? Please - bump em if ya got em. I never did. Even if I finish 4-9 this season, it doesn't change the fact that this is a dynasty in the making and you are focked.

There isn't a single team in the league that will be able to compete with the RB's that my team has. I'm pretty certain that 90% of owners would take my #3 RB over your #2 in a dynasty context. I'm pretty certain that there would be many that would take my #4 RB over your #2 RB in a dynasty setting. And when I the 06 draft rolls around, my #5 RB is going to be better than your #2 as well. It's only a matter of time before the focking begins.

Short term records have nothing to do with this. Then again, I see what your team looks like. I probably shouldn't expect you to understand any of this...

I've been very clear during this offseason that I wasn't expecting my team to be unstoppable this year, and just a solid playoff contender. I'm sorry that this is all so difficult for you to comprehend. But again, I've seen your team, I know I shouldn't expect more than this...

Please sound your warning siren when backing up so quickly...some of us might get run over without it...

You know as well as I do, that the statment doesn't literally mean I am going to take every league title between now and 2011. You're just being petty is all it amounts to. Again, find me one post where I proclaim that 2005 will be a dominant season for my team. You can't.

The fact remains, this is a budding dynasty and you guys are indeed focked.

Either way, I'm happy about one thing - you have all but admitted that you know my team is better than yours.

It is pretty amusing that the only bets I can get people to offer around here are sucker bets.

Of course, my team vs Jetdoc's is somewhat of a sucker bet itself seeing that my team blows his out of the water....

BTW Jetdoc, where were you last week anyways? At least Miller making fun of the performance of my starting RB's was in context. Here you act as though I'm supposed to have my tail between my legs for scoring 110 points and losing this week.

...and with that you have resorted to name calling. That and your constant attempts to sway the conversation away from YOUR team's record and YOUR previous statements is really, really discrediting anything you say.

It's simple - you either support your words or you admit that they were wrong. And you are doing neither.

P.S. Have fun with your little jabs...that is pretty much the personification of being "petty". I'll just sit back and enjoy them as you dig yourself into a deeper hole... :D

Name calling? Wow...

Again, I am supporting my words. This is a dynasty in the making. You won't find a better backfield in the league long term than KJ, McGahee, Ronnie Brown, and Cedric Benson. You just want to twist my words, and sorry - I'm just not buying your interpretation. It's pretty far fetched to believe that I was saying I would win the league every year until 2011, and that is exactly what you are trying to do. I have never proclaimed my team was the greatest this season, I have made many statements that said quite the opposite. I called Miller the favorite, I said Wahoos was the #2 team this year, I think I appeared at #6 in my own friggin power rankings. I shied away from a bet that was for this season only because I conceded that the team offering it had significantly better chances, so I clearly ranked tuna ahead of me for this season as well. Ya see, when I refuse a bet, I man up and admit it's because I don't like my chances...

The point of the thread then, and the point of the thread now is that this is the best backfield that this league has seen since Serbian's nightmare backfield of Priest, Tomlinson, Portis and the supporting cast is superior. It's an inevitable dynasty. And this is a point that you just can't refute. Not with facts, and certainly not with an 0-3 record against the highest points against total in the league.

The only hole here is the one that the league has dug in allowing me to assemble this backfield. And unfortunately for you guys, the stockpile isn't even complete. There will be a 5th stud here as of the 06 draft.

Hmmmm...seems you threw in the towel a little early here Jetdoc. Since you didn't feel like bumping, I'll help you out.

Here's a nice little tibdit of information for ya - since you decided to "call me out", I am the #2 scoring team in the league. I am also at #3 on the season.

Like I said, I wasn't going to get too worried about a flukey 110 point loss that dropped me to 0-3.
