I tried to respond to your lame thread earlier today about don't pick up Boldin or Cason but either the internet was super-slow from work or the board was acting up, tried to post it like 4 times and then I gave up.

I don't particularly want to argue it either but the jist of my point, Diesel, was that whether someone should pick a player up depends on who they are going to drop. Whereas you were making a blanket statement that one game wonders should not be picked up.

Guess I'll have to search for the thread to read the differences of opinions. I went to the league site asap to put Boldin on my roster and he was gone. Regardless of your opinion of such a move, I'm sure my experience was matched by someone in virtually every competitive league.

My argument goes a little something like this. **takes a deep breath** People seem to jump on the bandwagon of 1 week wonders, yet they drop players like streets, pittman, moe-williams. Someone was even considering dropping Manning because of his week 1 performance. People have to realize that names like Boldin, Cason, Betts are working from the botom of the totem poll, trying to make it to the top. People like Manning, Ricky, etc... are already at the top. They have that "im going to come out and run/throw for 200+ yards b/c im a bad-ass" mentality. If they fail to accomplish what they set out, they get frusturated and thus start forcing stuff. Which results in a poor performance. It was week 1 and i think the marquee players might of had the jitters. Im sure week 2 will be a whole different story. Im not bashing Boldin at all. Im a soon to be FSU student (and alumni) and my bros an FSU alumni. Boldin freakin played my highschool team for godsakes in the playoffs (we got slaughtered.) His hometowns about a good 45 mins away from me. I had to go there for work one day and let me tell you. This place is a ghetto. not one of those fake ones like u might see on t.v. Im talking hardcore! Im sure u might of seen like 2-3 black kids on the corner in a ghetto before (sorry if it sounds racist, but im not trying to) but i saw litterly 15-25 on 1 corner. The town is so small, you could probably drive through it in 30 mins. I had to fix some things in a grocery store and i think i was the only white kid in the facinity. I was never that scared before and ive been to the outskirts of the ghettos in my part of town. Sorry i got a little off track their, but in all im a huge Boldin fan. This may sound kinda crazy, but with all my knowledge about him, i was going to take him in the draft, Just b/c im a FSU fan. now im regretting it. To sum this up, i think its cool to pick him up as long as your not droping a proven player. I just rather sit back and scoop up some of the talent thats being dropped for Boldin. Since this is a 12 teamer with a bunch of smart guys who know their football, top notch talents not getting dropped. Sorry to bore u with my long ass post, but hope u got a kick out of it.
